Virus on my MacBook Air

hello i just got a message on my macbook air that says i have 4 virus detected on it and its asking me to download something to get rid of them and i dont know what to do. I just bought this MacBook and I haven't put in any usb's and all the websites I've gone into r protected and I have opened on many other devices and I never get a virus from any of them. I don't know what it is so if anyone could help that would be great

Its a scam. There are no known viruses that attack Mac OS.

Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support.

Force quit your browser then reopen holding the shift key. But if you resist the same site you'll probably get the pop-up again.
