Hey Charles,

We appreciate your responses to our questions. I am happy to continue assisting you further on this matter.

Based on the additional details, it's my understanding that you are accessing your @iCloud email account from our iCloud website using Safari. You have also tried multiple browsers with the same failures experienced. However, when you access your @iCloud account from the Mail app on your Mac it performs normally. This may indicate an interruption issue with your network connection, or browser settings. I would like to explore these possible causes further.

Are you connecting your Mac(s) to Wi-Fi or Ethernet for your internet connection? Are you able to connect to a different network to test for the same behaviors when accessing mail on iCloud using your web browsers?

If the same behaviors continue on multiple network connections, I'd like to have you remove stored cookies and website data in Safari and clear cache. To clear cache in Safari, navigate to Safari > Preferences > Advanced Tab > make sure Show Develop menu in menu bar is check marked, then close Preferences. Then, select Develop from the menu bar at the top, and click Empty caches. You can also take these steps for any other browsers you are using. Once this all completes, restart your Mac and try again.

Let me know if the same issue remains.

Hi there Charles Foster,

Thanks for posting to the Apple Support Communities. It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:

  • Are you using the Mail application on your Mac?
  • Is this an @iCloud email account you are experiencing this behavior on that is set up in Mail?
  • When you say you put emails in storage folders, can you be more specific about what you are doing to complete this action?
  • When you refer to "can't be loaded again", can you be more specific on this as well, please? Also share any error messages if any.

Cheers!

Don't usually use "Mail" on my MacBook Pro. Have had no problems for "many years" (maybe 20-30) going on-line with my Mac and using my online Mac account. Several days ago I received an announcement on my full functioning email connection that my 5gb gratis account needed more space. I deleted many online folders of old/very old past emails. In addition I purchased 50 gb of upgraded "memory". Once I received my online receipt from Apple, I was no longer able to open any of my "stored email" folders. I keep getting the "can't upload....at this time. Try again later." Went to a different computer-same result! Upgrade Safari-same result! Switched to Firefox-same result on both computers. My "In box folder" works most of the time but often will suddenly give me same "can't upload......" but when I click it again-it "opens" the listed mail.

Opened "Mail" software on my Mac. It works the way my online email worked before I added my additional 50gb of iCloud memory. Now, I'm stuck with having to work with the on-computer Mail software. I prefer NOT to.

Two different computers. Two different access programs. 50gb of new iCloud memory. Still broke. BUT "Mail" on computer has no visible problems!

Allen,

Sorry, re-read your post and not sure if I was specific enough with my earlier response. (Missed a question you asked.)

--Don't usually use the Mail application on my Mac.

--This is my @iCloud email account where I'm experiencing this problem.

--When saving/storing emails I've read I select and move to either the delete folder on screen's left or drop it into one of the various file folders I've added in the lower portion of the Folders column at the left.

--Trying to "open these folders, even right after making the deposit, I get the "can't open at..... Try again later"

I'll take all the help I can get!

Thanks
