Siri found a phone number in Settings...how do I find out where?

When I look at my own contact, I see that Siri said she found a phone number in settings. I recognize the number as the temporary phone number that was assigned to the iPhone upon purchase from a T-Mobile store; after porting my # from ATT, that number is no longer associated with the phone. BUT, Siri found it anyway!

How do I figure out where in Settings Siri is picking up this number?

Hey there Robert Camner,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand you’d like to find out where an older number came from in your contact card. I’ll be happy to help with this.

Did you check Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and Settings > FaceTime? It’s possible your older phone number could still be listed there. Also, go to Settings > Siri & Search and see if Find Contacts in Other Apps is enabled. This allows your phone to look for phone numbers in other apps on your phone and ask you if you want to add them to your contacts.

You also have the option to ignore the phone number that Siri found. Just tap on the number and tap Ignore for this to go away.

Best wishes.
