Face ID is not Available

After e recent iOS update on iPhone X Face ID stopped working all of a sudden. Whenever I try to set Face ID I get to the screen that opens the camera and says "Position your face" and then it says "Face ID is not Available, Try setting Face ID later".

Also the problem shows in the front camera, specifically in Portrait Mode it keeps saying: "Move farther away" and is also very dim compared to the regular photo mode.

I tried resetting the settings, factory resetting the device and even full iTunes restore.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I already tried scheduling an appointment at 2 of the Apple Authorized Service Providers here, where I live. After a couple of attempts at the first service place, they told me to just go to their other service place, because they were currently very busy. Then I went to another place where they told me it would most probably cost the price of a new iPhone and if I wanted to leave the phone at their service for diagnostics I would have to wait 10 working days and if it isn't a software issue I would bascially have to pay for a new device. (They told me they would try iTunes backup&restore and if that didn't work then it's not a software issue. I already tried that, it didn't work)

TL;DR

Didn't get much help from Apple Authorized Service Providers in Bulgaria.
