Cannot receive emails in Apple Mail on my iPad Pro

All was well until today. Now I’m told that Apple Mail cannot connect to BT (my ISP in the UK)

It’s the same on my wife’s iPad too, so I’m wondering if the problem is with Apple.

Ideas welcome.

That's the problem with a lot of tech troubleshooting. You keep trying things until suddenly something starts working. Often you know what did the trick but, not always.
