Hi JBJ_bulldogs,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that you're unable to use the flashlight and camera buttons on the Lock screen of your iPhone XR. I also see that you disabled your passcode and the behavior continues. I know how convenient it is to be able to use these features from the Lock screen on your iPhone; I'd like to help. First, if you haven't already, I'd suggest restarting your iPhone and testing again: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the behavior persists, verify that you're pressing firmly enough on your display to activate 3D Touch; you can also test this from your Home screen by firmly pressing on the Safari app, rather than tapping, to see if a menu that has "Show Reading List, Show Bookmarks, New Private Tab, and New Tab."

I'd also suggest testing to see if the buttons work with 3D Touch disabled; tap Settings > General > Accessibility > 3D Touch > tap to disable.

Let me know what you find after testing and please also provide the following details:

Are you able to use the camera and flashlight normally from Control Center if you swipe down from the upper right side of your iPhone?

Do the camera and flash work properly when using the Camera app?

Best Regards.
