my airpods were blinking orange and then turned off

I have tried to use my AirPods the last couple of days but couldn’t since my AirPods weren’t charged so I would try to charge them and they would still be out of battery. Today I tried to charge them again and my case was blinking orange rapidly when I put in one of the AirPods in the case and i took them out cause I didn’t know what was happening but it would still continue to blink fast. Then I tried to clean them to see if that was the problem but it didn’t change anything. A couple minutes later I tried it again and charge them but it just completely shut off. I can’t turn my AirPods case anymore, my AirPods aren’t charged so I can’t use them and when I try to go to another outlet to connect my AirPod case it would still be off. It doesn’t work at all. Please help!
