Trying to transfer pictures from iphoto including captions to a DVD

Are you wanting to create a video DVD disk that can play a slideshow of the images with the titles and descriptions displayed on a TV via a set-top DVD player? Or do you just want a data DVD disc with the image files containing the metadata embedded in the files?

If it's the latter follow Terence's recommendations. If it's the former then we need to know more info:

Model ID of Mac

Size of boot drive and amount of free space?

Do you have the iDVD app on your Mac? What version is it/

What system are you running?

Export them to the Finder, using the File -> Export command, then burn them to the disk.
