iCloud deletion

I recently bought an iPhone X off of someone and their iCloud was signed into the phone after I purchased it. I’m trying to sign out of it and sign mine in but I don’t have their password or phone number. Please help

According to: Turn off Find My iPhone Activation Lock - Apple Support, without the cooperation of the previous owner, there is no way for you activate that iPhone X.
