Apple Watch Series 4 not showing run GPS map

When I log an Outdoor Run Exercise on my Apple Watch 4 and then go back to look at the exercise, a small thumbnail of the map shows up, but only a single green pin and no route picture (see picture).


Other data is tracked as you can see. I went through Apple Watch app settings and made sure Fitness Tracking is on, watchOS is up to date, and I went through the watch settings on wrist and made sure Location Services are turned on.


Am I missing something here? Do I have a defective watch?

Still no recording. It's just a single green pin. What do you mean by "tapping on the Map pin on your Apple watch"? I tapped on the green pin that was on my phone and it looked like this:






I have many recording like this. I did have one recorded Outdoor Walk where it tracked my route map, so I know what it's supposed to look like, but that was from 10/22/18.
