Show desktop hot corner not working when windows are maximised

Hi there,

The show desktop hot corner does not seem to work/respond when I move the mouse cursor into whatever particular I have set it to work from if the windows of the current application are in full screen/maximised mode.

I have tried this by switching the corner for show desktop and also have tried using the keyboard shortcut and that does not work either.

It always seems to work though whenever the windows of whatever application I am using are not in maximum view.

Is this a design feature? Any one have any suggestions?
