All my sent messages copy into my inbox

I'm using OS High Sierra, and Apple Mail 11.5. Suddenly, without me having made any changes, every message I send copies into my inbox--in addition to the Sent folder. My email service is gmail, and I've not made any changes there, either, to send myself a copy.

It's driving me crazy and I can't figure out how to stop it. Help!

Hey there!

I would check your mailbox behaviors as Sent might be set to go into your Inbox: https://support.apple.com/guide/mail/change-mailbox-behaviors-preferences-cpmlprefacctmbox/mac

If that is not it, try unchecking "Include related messages"

You can do this by opening Apple Mail > go to Mail drop down menu at the top (near Apple logo) > Preferences > Viewing > under View Conversations, make sure that "Include related messages" is unchecked.
