I upgraded to iOS 13 this morning and everything was going great. This afternoon I upgraded to watchOS 6 and now my watch series 4 44mm does not get notifications now from my iPhone X. I made sure all of the notifications are still turned on for my watch. If I get a text or email I am still able to view it on my watch but I do not get a notification at all on my watch.

I can confirm, that shutting down both devices and booting them afterwards helps. In my case I‘ve first turned off my Apple Watch and than my iPhone. After waiting a few seceonds, I started my devices in the same order (first the phone and then the watch). I don‘t know wether this workaround works only in this particular sequence. Anyway I‘m glad I‘ve got my notifications back on my watch.
So I tried to reboot both apple watch and my Iphone. It worked! (Mine is Apple Watch Series 4 & iPhone X)
I've got it working again.
Switch off both devices.
Switch on the watch - let it full boot up fully.
Then switch on the phone.
Thank you, Sir! Rebooting both devices solve my problem. While unpairing/pairing, wipe out - not.
Turning wrist detection off and back on worked for me.
Restarting both my devices (phone and watch) did not work.
Thankfully, did not have to try the unpair and re-pair method.
Didn't fix it for me, but doing this in order did: turn off watch, turn off phone, turn on phone, turn off watch. No reason it should work, but it did. I found the solution on another forum
I updated iOS to 13.1 and the problem is fixed. The notifications have returned well.
i too installed iOS13 on iPhone 8+ and Watch version 6 - i had to unpair watch and then re-pair - bit of a pain but worked fine for me.
This worked for me. By restarting both iPhone & iWatch on the above order.
Just wanted to throw my 2-cents in. This is what worked for my iPhone XR/Series 3. I rebooted both and all of my notifications started working again.
I had the same problem, so I restarted both my iPhone 8 and my Apple Watch Series 3 and it worked. Thank you.
I too am having the same issue. I just bought the new Series 5 on Friday and it's not receiving notifications running on WacthOS 6.
I just spoke with an apple adviser and then subsequently with an apple specialist. He told me that they are aware of this bug and are working towards a fix. He said that they hope to have an update within the next 2 days.
Update to iOS 13.1 to fix the issue.
The 13.1 update of iOS fixes various bugs and performance issues that were present in the initial launch of the software; the apple watch notifications being one of them.
Try to reset, all data wipe out. Worked for me. Unpair and pair again doesn't.
Reset with all data wiped out. Pair and unpair does not help me. Only reset.
I have Series 3 and 6S. Full reset worked, unpair and pair did’nt. But even if it is not a solution.
