Missing pop3 email sent folder at IOS13

I just updated to IOS13 and now my sent folder POP3 email account disappeared. Now only showing and inbox and drafts folder. Anyone experiencing this problem? Any idea how to get it back? Hope Apple fix this quick as it’s obviously IOS13 issue!

Hi. I fixed my issue as follows:

1. Download 13.1

2 Delete and re-create your POP account

3. send an email.

4 Write and save an email.

5 Trash an email

ALL MAILBOXES CAME BACK!

Try these steps as few people already confirmed they could access Sent mailbox after doing it:

  1. In Mail app on your iOS Device and using the affected POP account send yourself few emails (2-3 should be enough).
  2. Go to the Inbox of your affected POP account and refresh the list of emails to get those new emails. If emails are not received, you very likely have an issue with SMTP server settings and needs to fix issue sending emails first.
  3. Open one of received emails and tap on 'Trash' icon to delete it.
  4. Open another email message, then tap and hold on 'Trash' icon and this time choose to 'Archive Message' from the menu.
  5. Start new message; in the body of the new email message type in some random text, then tap 'Cancel' and choose 'Save Draft' from the menu.

If "Sent" folder is still missing, try to force quit the Mail app, then check again.

I, too, lost my Sent, Trash, and Draft folders. I learned accidentally, however, that if I did a search in email, sent emails turned up in the search results even though I have no visible Sent folder! So I knew the sent emails were there somewhere (my main email is an EarthLink pop3 account)

Trying every suggestion I could find online, at some point, I went to Settings>Passwords&Accounts>Accounts>Gmail. On the Gmail account page, I toggled OFF the Mail.

I then used the suggestion on this thread to send myself an email, then deleted it. Voila! The Trash and Draft folders magically reappeared. I then used another suggestion in this thread to send myself an email, delete it, go into the Trash folder, and move that email back to the Inbox folder. My Sent folder did not magically re-appear. At that point, I happened to go back to Settings>Passwords&Accounts>Accounts>Gmail, and this time on the Gmail account page, I toggled Mail back on.

when I went back to email right after that, the Sent folder magically appeared! Don’t know if moving mail from Trash to Inbox, or turning Gmail off and on, or the combination of doing both brought my Sent folder back, but I thought it might help someone else with this frustrating and serious problem.

In my case, my email account was on xfinity and I’m using an iPhone. I deleted the account from my phone and re-added it, and the iPhone software automatically hooked it up via IMAP.

however my sent folder came back empty, and is starting from scratch going forward. It works, but i Iost a lot of history

an IT guy told me IMAP is more secure, so that’s a good thing.

After IOS 13.2 was installed it simply worked, no more actions to the mail account settings required.

The Drafts folder appeared again after I did write a test mail and saved it. The saved mail showed in the Drafts folder, I could open it and finally send it. The Drafts folder is now staying as well.

My phone already showed the Sent and Trash folders (after one of the actions written in this thread).

As said before: older Draft mails that I wrote with IOS 13.1.x to test the behavior are gone, vanished (I did hope they would exist), no big deal for me, for others it may mean lost work.
