Missing pop3 email sent folder at IOS13

I deleted my email on my phone and the added it back and the emails are back - 14,600+

I just updated to 13.2 on iPad and iPhone XR. Everything is FINALLY back to the way it should be ( drafts, sent are now there)

As I said earlier I managed to have the sent folder by repeatedly deleting the pop3 account and recreating it. I noticed that the smtp server played some sort of role into managing to make the folder appear.

I must say that answers as “convert pop3 to IMAP” are not acceptable. IMHO.

Same thing happened to me. Eventually my sent folders came back and then I discovered I had something called an all sent folder and all my old sent emails were not in there at first but then I deleted my email account and then set it up again. Just be sure you know your ingoing and outgoing server names before you delete.I screenshot of mine so I would have them in case I forgot. Then when I reinstalled the email eventually sort of magically an overnight all my sent emails appeared in the all sent folder, but they are not in the regular email sent folder. And still owe my drafts are gone

The trick of creating an email with a photo attachment but saving it as a draft instead of actually sending it, seems to have worked for me. I’ve shut down the mail app and reopened it, and it still seems to be working. Thank you so much.

I’m still missing the old drafts that were sitting in the draft folder prior to ios13 though.

Logging the issue with apple is on my list of things to do.

This worked for me: go to email. Click mailboxes. Click edit. Check ‘all sent’ folder to turn it on. Go back to mailboxes list. Send a test email. Then go into sent folder. They now all appear. If not try to send another test email from the phone. Worked for me on iPhone 7.

I have had a case open since ios13 was released. After MANY frustrating calls, logs off my phone etc, I have just had a reply form a senior Apple guy in Australia that Apple are no longer supporting POP and I should migrate to IMAP !!!!

unfortunately Apple engineers dont read this thread.. you would need to, as we all need to, complain directly to apple... this is the iOS and their failure to fix POP3 issues... ongoing and destructive! ... i switched to iMAP which solved the issue for me.. but iMAP is not for everyone.. completely unnecessary ..they should NEVER have released iOS with this serious problem .. good luck

Did you restart your device again (after update)? Try to send any mail, sometimes "sent" and "drafts" may appear when it's done.

It helps, but with a twist. Instead of choosing 'Archive Mesaage', I put it the 'Sent' folder and then the Sent folder appeared on my folder's list.

Also deleted & re-added. At first nothing. Then 10 mins later the trash folder came back & maybe 20 mins later the sent folder. Was ****** at first bc it re-dl’ed all bajillion emails i have deleted at least 3x since ios13 came out. Give it a little more time.

I have encountered the same issue. With 13, I only saw my Inbox folder with emails that were unread or flagged dated back to 8/23. I created an email, saved it as Draft then deleted and Draft folder remained.

I downloaded 13.1 about an hour ago and I now see the Trash folder, which contains emails back to 8/23.

I’m still waiting on the Sent folder.

I talked to Apple Support today and support said they only have 2 tickets logged. Please contact Apple and have a ticket opened.

Apple does not read this community posts.

I still suggest everyone to report the issue to Apple, to make them aware it involves many people.

And guess what: after fiddling with the POP3 SMTP settings, toggling the "All sent" folder on and off in the mail settings and sending a few more test e-mails, finally the Sent folder appeared for my POP3 account, including older mails I did send days ago. Now I am curious if the folder stays visible.

Next would be someone to find out if there is one persistent way that works for everyone to make the Sent folder appear.

It seems there is no proven straightforward way to get the Sent folder back, various posts here describe various ways others used to manage to get the Sent folder back.

The Concepts folder does appear at times, but I do not manage to see saved - draft e-mails.

Apple support has done a remote session to my phone to fault find the issue and has uploaded log files from my phone.

As far as I understood it is by now a registered issue.

I still recommend to contact Apple support yourself to make them aware of the extend of the issue.

Note: IOS 13.1.1 did not solve this mail issue.
