I upgraded to iOS13 and updated the reminders app. It has pulled in all my lists EXCEPT for the main “Reminders” list. This list is visible in iCloud web app but not the reminders app on my phone.

How do I get my reminders LIST back in my reminders app - the iOS13 Reminders app seems to not want to display my reminders LIST

iPhone 7

I also got confirmation from Apple support today that there are major problems with reminders. I removed all iCloud reminders from my phone last night, and after about 15 hours, there are still reminders that have not downloaded to my phone. I also have over 8000 completed reminders. I also get a crash on iCloud.com when trying to view reminders. My follow up call with support today indicated that we have to wait for a fix.

Hey - thanks for the reply. That was the problem, the Reminders list was not visible under My Lists (but all by other lists were).

Since posting, Reminders list is now visible, but only contains 12 uncompleted items (reminders in iCloud shows way more but takes a few minutes to display). Looks like a server side issue going slow maybe (as I probably have loads of uncompleted items from the reminders list that it is trying to sync in the background)? It is only text though so thought it wouldn't be that slow.

Hi vinnyjones,

Do you still suffer from a very slow synchronization of the new Reminders app?

I have a same very long list of completed items (9k+ items). This seems to be stuck somewhere in an infinite loop, as a result of which my other lists / items are not downloaded to my iPhone and may iPad and as a result of which new items are not uploaded as well. Everything looks good on iCloud.com, but syncing to and from my iPhone and iPad takes about a whole day and then still it is not completed syncing. It is completely unworkable.

I just got in touch with Apple Support. It seems that more users have this experience. Unfortunately, there is no solution yet, as far as I know.

Reminders sync is erratic and broken for me on various devices running iOS/iPadOS 13.1.2 and watchOS 6.0.1 as well as iCloud.com. I've spent a few days now disabling and re-enabling Reminders iCloud sync, resetting devices to factory settings and trying again, etc. Nothing has helped. Reminders sync is VERY slow, taking up to 12 hours and still not finishing, syncing partial records with some list names missing, not syncing at all on some devices, etc. The list just goes on.

I've contacted Apple Support but all they can say is they're investigating. It's not good to be an early adopter this year.

I just installed Catalina, I was told to do so by a Sr. Advisor at Apple because that would restore my reminders list. Well, not so much. Fortunately, all of my reminders are showing up on my new iPhone 11, iOS 13.2. But man, Apple has really dropped the ball on this. I am very upset and hope they get their sh*t together soon. I've been a long time Apple user but if this doesn't get resolved soon, I may be forced to go to the dark side.... sorry for the rant, peace all! Oh, and my reminders are not showing up on iCloud in Safari either!!!

My understanding is that the upgrade to Catalina gives you access to your reminders if you have upgraded your reminders. I haven’t done that.

I confirmed with Apple support as recently as yesterday that Apple is aware of major problems with Reminders and that fixing those reminders is a top priority. I agree, though, this is a major screw up on Apple’s part. On iCloud.com, all apps work except reminders. Clicking on reminders on iCloud.com crashes.

I’ve started deleting some of my 9000+ completed repeating reminders from one of my Macs to see if that will have any effect. Reminders seem slow on my Mac but otherwise work.

They are a mess on my phone. They take forever to sync and the ‘mark completed,’ ‘ignore’ etc options just don’t work. Im missing important things like medication reminders so I’m pretty unhappy.

YEP! Rotten to the core! Sorry, I couldn't resist but they have really messed it up this time. I'm selling my Apple stock because I just don't believe in the company or their products anymore. They never used to release anything until it was proven ready, now they let us, their loyal customers, find the bugs. Not good, really bad business model.

Reminders seem to be slowly improving, at least from what I've seen. For context, I upgraded my iOS to 10.13, but did not upgrade my reminders because I don't yet trust Catalina's reliability (and also because I want my reminders working before I do).

The upgrade completely wrecked my reminders in many ways. After removing all reminders from my Mac to resync them, it took over a day for all my reminders to sync back. Reminders I created on my phone never made it to the cloud and reminders created on my Mac never made it to my phone. Dismissed reminders were immediately reappearing. Moreover, going to icloud.com and clicking on reminders resulted in a crash. That behavior persisted for a couple of weeks.

I slowly started deleting the 12000+ completed reminders from one of my Macs during this time. I'm guessing I maybe manually deleted at least 2000-3000. I have no idea if this has anything to do with the improved performance.

Eventually reminders on iCloud.com became accessible (altho not completed reminders). Now completed reminders show on iCloud.com. Reminders on iCloud appear correct. I've deleted all reminders from my phone and Macs and resynced them and it took only a couple of hours for them to sync to my phone instead of an entire day. I don't believe I've lost any reminders. Performance is significantly improved but still far from trustworthy.

I will not be upgrading my reminders until I'm confident that they are working solidly, but I am seeing improvements. (I will likely be posting this same copied/pasted text to a couple of other related discussions I'm participating in.)

I upgraded to iOS13 and updated the reminders app. It has pulled in all my lists EXCEPT for the main “Reminders” list. This list is visible in iCloud web app but not the reminders app on my phone.
