iPhone 11 Pro front camera problem

hey man

i have the exact same problem, can confirm that the issue is due to the front camera being different to the XS Max and below, so there are currently serious bugs with it, especially with third party apps. it’s really jittery for me on every app that uses the front facing camera, and it panicked me a lot. but apple support have confirmed to me that this is an issue EVERYONE is having, we just have to wait for iOS 13.1 // or apps updating to handle the new camera specs!

ios 13.1 fixed my front facing camera issue. All is good. Go download it. Also, looks like Apple really cares and reads these forums because I had an Apple rep contact me yesterday wanting to know as much info about the issue with the camera.

anyway, go download iOS 13.1 and you should be all set.

My iPhone Xs MAX didn't have that !! pls @Apple Fix this really quick, we are paying to have a WORKING PHONE , not a glitchy one ....

Very real possibility that I've found a fix for this problem.

My front facing camera was lagging/skipping every 5 seconds when using Instagram stories or WhatsApp, but no other video apps and not when using the in-built Camera app.

I read something that suggested changing your screen's Auto-Lock (Settings -> Display & Brightness) from 30 seconds to anything above a couple of minutes.

I was extremely sceptical but it worked for me immediately, without the need to update any apps or make any other changes.

Hope that this might help some of you out there who are as frustrated with their new phone as I was!

Okay i just spoke to the Support and its most likely Software related and all we can do for now is wait for an update/bug fix.

Had the same problem previously, however I've just updated my phone to the IOS 13.1.2 and the glitch from zooming in is smooth now.

the issue was fixed in iOS 13.1, update your software. if that fails, make an appointment at the apple store. apple do not reply or respond to these posts.

But after resetting 3 times but issue resolved.

this issue i had before in my iphone 8 , but that was liquid damage.

The camera issues are caused by that third party software and they will have to fix it.

iOS 13.1 fixes this issue.

try the update and then restart your phone. it worked for me

take your phone to the apple store and have someone look at it, if the issue is a factory defect you will receive a replacement device.

It sounds strange, but I’m so happy that you guys got the same problem... thought I was getting crazy. I went to the Apple store and showed them a screenrecording with the problem. They said that it was not normal and gave me a new one.... but... problem still here. So this is what i find out:

when switching in not perfect light conditions from the ‘photoselfie mode’ to the ‘videoselfie mode’ your face gets really blurry. It looks like a beautyfilter. If you go back to the ‘photoselfie mode’ everything is ok again. When turning off 4K recording (and high fps) the problem is gone.

I tried to upgrade to iOS 13.1, but the problem is still there.
