Playlist Art on iPhone after IOS 13

Looks like the 13.3.1 update has finally fixed this issue! I just updated my iPhone X and all the playlist cover art is back to normal.

To anyone else having this issue, do the update and fingers crossed it will be resolved for you.

I have an iPhone 6s. I was having the same problem with scrambled playlist art for the past 6 months, since iOS 13 at the end of September 2019..... until NOW. I have just downloaded iOS 13.3.1 and my playlist art is FINALLY back to normal and no longer scrambling each time I play a new song in my library. Better late than never! Whew! I hope my act of sharing this good news will give others enough hope to download iOS 13.3.1.

It seems this issue finally got resolved with Ios 13.3.1 - at least with my iPad. ****, it only tok Apple 6 months to fix this. I am going to be very cautious in installing any new Ios in the future until they've worked out all the bugs.

I just did the latest IOS update 13.3.1 and it’s corrected!!! Yay!! All the album artwork is now correct and working. That sucked! But it’s fixed. Grab the update. 😀

Problem fixed for me after updating to iOS 13.3.1 ... did Not need to resync my iPhone XS Max with my Windows 10 iTunes.

Finally fixed.

The 13.3.1 update that's just been released fixes the cover art issue. Run the update and everything should be back to normal.

Apple has not released any iOS version fixing this issue.

I found a workaround by doing the following:

1- I downloaded and installed on my iPhone a third-party music player. I chose VOX, free version.

2- I imported/rebuilt (don't remember exactly) the Music Playlist inside VOX. (In French, it's "Collections" - I don't know the English corresponding word on the iPhone application.)

3- After doing so, I don't recall exactly how long and what I did, but after closing and reopening Music, all Playlists were displaying the proper album cover(s).

Upgraded from an iPhone 6 (yeah, I know: insert the :eyeroll: emoji) to an iPhone SE (2020) yesterday and everything was fine for exactly one day. Then earlier today when I synced it after having added new music to my iTunes library, most of the albums ended up displaying the wrong artwork (Ice Cube's "AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" would show the art for "Please" by Pet Shop Boys, etc.). Deleting the 'Cache' folder (Music > iTunes > Album Artwork>Cache) completely solved the issue for me personally.

That was the first thing I tried when it happened, and then I tried it many, many more times.

Doing a hard refresh may correct some of the cover art but once you start using the music app again they go straight back to randomizing themselves.

Word is that the issue is fixed in the 13.3.1 beta so hopefully once it is fully released this issue will be no more.

All you have to do is a hard reset and everything should be fixed!

Yep, for me it doesn't even work for a second.

Apple has told me they are working on it, but that it won't be fixed until at least the next update.

yup looks like 13.3.1 fixed it ... now lets see if it lets me dump my pictures from phone to mac in iphoto 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes, I updated to iOS 13.3..1 and also iTunes for Windows (12.10.4.2) and all is well. I even got brave, deleted a couple of playlists (multiple albums) and it happily synced with correct artwork. It's been a while!

I have same problem. now on version 13.3 and still not fixed. contacted apple and they even took control of my phone and could see the problem for themselves. they said it would be reported to there tech team and that I should wait for an update that would hopefully fix it. well that was one iTunes update and one ios 13 update ago and problem persist. very frustrating. I do use iTunes for windows and they assured me that didn't matter. curious if anyone else is still having the same problem.
