Playlist Art on iPhone after IOS 13

I tried re-synching it. It didn't work. It's no secret that APPLE doesn't give a **** and gave up on PLAYLISTS a long time ago. I hate this. I'm now looking into alternatives to iTunes but why are so many filled with ads and there is no paid for no ad version out there? I would gladly pay a good fee for a non-bloated music app that just works.

That works initially, but once you start using the Music app again the cover art starts to scramble again. The issue seems to be within the iOS Music app itself.

I re-synced my playlists three times in iTunes and the cover art always displayed properly the first time I re-opened them in the Music app, but once you start using the Music app the cover art scrambles again.

Does retiring iTunes excuse leaving its last version, used by millions of people, in an unusable mess?

I think not. Purely unprofessional and more what I would expect to experience from an insolvent company, not one who is trying to maintain its goodwill from its user base.

do you know to download personal albums it takes 1-2 hours(if you have 50 gb of audio files) , and to redo it 3 times will be 6 hours !!!

You need to use iTunes to add artwork to your playlists. Even if it looks like there is artwork there. Copy from one song and paste it into the Playlist artwork. It seems the phone will just choose art work at random is not added specifically to the playlist. I had to do this for all my playlists. Tough.

I actually meant to say " Can you copy in that". Not sure how it works... My iTunes on computer has artwork and its all good. At first I hesitated to sync phone cause was afraid phone would screw up computer. Realized it was okay to do. So thinking it won't really make a difference. Has yours remained ok

Yes mine remains up to date. In some cases the Artwork looked ok in iTunes, but in the phone it was not. I still had to put the Artwork in the playlist. Where it looked ok was usually a single album. Still had to update and then sync phone. All good now.

Hey Apple: we should not have to do this. You can fix it.

Yes Apple pls do something on your backend, is frustrating. I use MAC to copy to iphone . MAC book playlist artwork is fine but once transfer to iphone all artwork is mess up.

my itune iCloud music for MAC and iPhone is off , currently both MAC and iPhone software is up to date.

Everyone I talk with who has upgraded to 13 is experiencing similar issues that I am. Scrambled artwork is the least of my issues, although not minimizing that. Freezing emails, contacts and crashing. Not shutting down properly, to the extent that I cannot restart the phone. Connectivity to my car, Bluetooth and tethered issues both.

I have had iPhones since the second one came out. I am about done with Apple. Not because they have issues, everyone has issues, but rather how they are not dealing with or communicating with us about the issues. I’m up for my upgrade next month. Hello Samsung!

I think the best thing to do is to keep contacting Apple Support about it as I don't think they pay much mind to forum threads like this.

If more and more people report it directly to Apple Support then they'll likely address it quicker. I've been constantly talking to them via live chat and even though I get a generic "our technical team will look into this" reply, I won't stop bugging them until it gets addressed in one way or another.

If they get more people doing the same thing then they'll realize its not just a localized few people with the issue.

Get on to them people and lets get this sorted out! :-)

I do not understand why people here still are trying to "solve" a bug problem from apple.

You are losing your time.

And if you call apple, it is even worse. I did it and others did it. Does not help a thing.

As we all know, there is a quick and cheap solution.

I will not upgrade do Catalina. And I will not buy any "new" hardware so soon.

Nope, deleted all music on my iPhone over the weekend. Then unplugged it and plugged it back into my iMac and sync’d all music to my iPhone.

now all the iPhone music is totally screwed up with missing artwork, duplicated playlists and bogus track order.

I think by now we all should know not to bother wasting our time trying to fix a bug that only Apple can fix. Maybe when they realize this is only ******* people off and not pushing them to buy Apple Music they'll smarten up. I already know a ton of people who are or have switched to droid. Apple ta ain't the only game un town anymore. Better stop f&#king up

Same issue here. Some albums in double on my iPhone. Some are not linked to the artist. The highlight was when my library at the Mac was 48 GB and on the iPhoneX almost 83 GB. Album art becomes a lottery game to see. Just to make clear, on the mac everything is there. But I also found correctly tagged albums under compilations on my Mac -before upgrade it was okay.

I am quite surprised that programming an MP3 player app became rocket science.

So I am blown away from the amazing products which Apple is distributing. But we have 24hrs-smiling-people on the stage of the keynotes. But to make sure - it is only one example where the user experience discovers new depth.
