Remove bedtime from alarm section iOS 13

Since the iOS 13 update, under my alarms section there is now a bedtime alarm permanently there that can’t be deleted. I’ve turned off all the functions but it’s still sitting in my alarms ahead of all my actual alarms that I use.

How do I remove this from my alarms section now with iOS 13?

There's a much simpler way. Tap Change next to the unwanted WakeUp alarm. Scroll all the way down (yep, there's more hidden down there). Choose Edit Sleep Schedule. This takes you to settings in the Health App. Toggle Sleep Schedule to Off.

As we all know it's pretty obvious that not all people who dislike the way this feature was implemented will come here to discuss it or manifest their opinion.

However, you are the only person I've ever seen or read saying that they actually prefer this feature to be implemented in this particular "non-reversible" way.

I'm sure that I'm not far off from the truth by claiming that most people prefer to have the option to easily disable something that they themselves have enabled (for whatever reason) and that wasn't there originally. Trust me, most people like to have options and be able to do things... I'm pretty sure of that. Will most people take action to try and make things right? Surely not... but that's another issue. It's just the way of the world...

You seem to miss the point of the existence of online forums and communities. Maybe you're new to the internet? Sending feedback to Apple has absolutely nothing to do with a forum/community post... it's like saying "if you don't like the weather... call God". What is that all about? Makes no sense...

Yes, we "citizens of the world" all know that we can reach Apple about it... maybe many of us already did. That has exactly ZERO to do with posting about it on this forum, one thing does not exclude the other, they are not even related, both actions have merits and can be executed 100% independently.

It is not for you to decide what this forum is.

It is not for you to decide if other people's comments are complaints or actually technical issues. Words are complicated, semantics are really complex... context is everything. I don't think you are qualified for such evaluations based on your interactions here disrespecting everyone else.

Who are you to know what accomplishes what?

Who are you to say what other people should do?

What about stopping the harassment you've been imposing on others and respecting the community? Sounds good?

Are you having trouble being one of the few people in the world who actually likes this awkward feature implementation? Get over it! Contact Apple Feedback and let them know how happy you are, maybe they will not fix it for all the rest of us nice people ;)

This almost happened to me this morning - I just happened to wake up in time to get to an important new client meeting!

If anyone from Apple reads this, PLEASE make this an optional alarm that doesn’t sort to the top: what a ridiculous forced feature, we don’t all want/need our phones to manage our sleep patterns : many of us have to get up at different times every day/week depending what we have going on - it’s presumptuous to assume that most people have the luxury - or desire - to keep the same exact schedule every week. 😤

This is speculation, none of us here can possibly know who reads this board and what are the reader's intentions or purposes. Such a claim is not based on any facts or real knowledge.

In fact it is much more likely that Apple does indeed watch this space for all sorts of purposes and feedback posted here is just as valid as any other feedback channel, they are very unlikely to have created this discussion board just for the purpose of users entertaining themselves.

It's also not true that Apple makes features non reversible as a standard practice. The fact is almost all user configurable settings that you can touch on an iPhone/IOS, are 100% reversible to the original state, this Bedtime configuration is an exception and certainly not to be expected.

I hope Apple actually monitors these comments. As a longtime software developer, I can’t for the life of me figure out why you would create an option that you can enable, but not disable. It’s essentially trapping the user. I was testing it, and I decided not to use it. Why can I not easily disable it? This is stupidity. Maybe the person who invented Microsoft Bob got a job at Apple.

That worked! I’d like to add for us newbies who don’t know what a reset does that you’ll have to reassign all your ringtones and wallpaper and relog into WiFi, and probably a few more things I haven’t found yet. Took me quite a while to get myself back together, but I’m happy not to have that stupid bedtime crowding my alarms.

Why would anyone need a Bedtime Alarm anyway!?

It has several nice features. The one I like the best is that it automatically sets the phone into DND independently of any other DND schedule you may have. It also allows you to set an alarm volume independently of the system volume.

Apple! Please get your act together and nuke this useless alarm altogether!
