Just upgraded to the iPhone 11. On my iPhone X, when I opened an email and deleted it - it would go to the next message in my inbox by default (which I liked). Now - when I delete a message, it goes to a screen that says “No Message Selected”.
How do I revert to make it open the next message in my inbox??

The bug seems to have been addressed in the iOS 13.1 patch today. Hopefully, it doesn’t return.
So, what I’ve noticed is that the problem seems to get triggered only when I click on a link in an email that takes me to a website or opens another app. Returning to the mail app, either by clicking on the <-Mail link in the top left corner or by simply bringing up the app list, selecting the mail app again and viewing and deleting messages will cause the issue to appear. If I force close the mail app, I can view and delete email messages without the problem occurring, until, of course, I click on a link again.
The same thing happens on my new iPhone 11 Pro Max 512GB. I have found that force closing the mail app and trying again resolves the issue, but only for a short time. This is definitely a bug that Apple needs to address. Very annoying. Very difficult to believe that thorough testing was conducted before releasing the OS.

Same. Shutting the mail app and restarting the iPhone did not work.
It did work for two messages, then back to the issue... how annoying lol
I have the same problem after upgrading my iPhone 10xs to iOS 13.
It fixed it for me so far.
IOS 13.1.2 and the problem is still there..
Luckily, 13.1 resolved the issue for me. I’m currently on 13.1.2 and I no longer experience the issue. I hope you’re able to get it to stop.
