Iphone 11 pro max battery dying fast

I have the same issue with my 5 day old iPhone 11 Pro. Battery drops 20-25% overnight and I have no idea why. App background usage is disabled on my phone. I don’t know what’s draining the battery. I’m so livid at Apple! I hope it’s just a software issue as some people have mentioned here. If my battery life doesn’t get better, I’ll very unwillingly have to return the phone and switch to Samsung. I would really hate to do that, but I don’t want to pay $1000 for a phone that’s defective.

After you reset (Erase and Reset All Settings) the phone from the settings menu, did you restore your phone from an iTunes backup?

That is what I plan on doing. Hopefully I’m going about this correctly. My battery is draining very badly and fast.

When I first setup my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I did the “Copy old phone to new phone” via holding one phone on top of the other wirelessly.

THe only solution to not have my phone drain quickly is to charge it to 100% and instantly enable low power mode. It then last all day but if I don't have low power mode on it still drains quickly due to background activity from the photo app.

I'm going to test restoring my phone from a wired back up now.

Wife and I both got the 11 Pro Max, mine battery is awesome, but hers is horrible. Set up our phones identical and after all day of very light use my battery is 94% and her's is at 30%. We took them off charge at the exact same time so I could run these tests. She is now getting multiple messages that her iPhone doesn't see her battery as an official Apple battery. We ordered both phones the same day off the Apple website. Now we have to drive 1.5hours to nearest Apple store to get this resolved. There goes half my Sunday :(

I hope it’s just a software issue. My 2 week return period ends on Saturday. Apple is supposed release iOS 13 update this Wednesday and I hope they fix that battery issue. If that issue persists, I’ll either have to return the phone or have it replaced.

I have a similar question too. I'm sorry but I have to do a boring and unpleasant introduction first.

My first week with 11 Pro Max was amazing. Fully astonished by its battery capacity. Then, one week ago I decided to buy another lightning to usb c cable (mfi) with wall charger, both Aukey products. Plugging the iphone I noticed that lightning bolt icon just appeared for a second and then it turned white (no charging). My guess was bad wall charger. After I've contact Aukey Support they suggested me to try the combo Apple wall charger plus aukey cable. This time I have noticed that lightning bolt icon blinked twice and then the iPhone kept charging. There was definitely something with the cable because the opposite (Apple cable with aukey charger) worked fine without double blinking. Since then I have the impression that the iPhone lose too much battery percentage in too short time. I read by googling about Tristar chip (u2 ic) that can be damaged by faulty cables because of voltage spikes

Now my concern it's exactly this

What are your thoughts? It is unlikely?

i wanna ask you, for my 11 pro max battery screen time:

7 hours 5 minutes : battery level is 40 percent.

i’m using from 8 a.m to 9 p.m and i’m using for social media, streaming, etc.

Hi Faust_One, here are my settings for today. I used low power mode from 8 a.m to 9 p.m and my screen time 7 hours 14 minutes, battery still at 40 %. Is it normal? Because i think its not a big difference from my old iphone Xs Max haha. Apple said 11 Pro Max should lat 5 hours than Xs Max but i think its just totally wrong!!!

My humble opinion: It's pretty normal. It all depends by the apps you use. For example, I noticed that facebook and instagram devour battery life.

Remember to charge your battery when it's 25 % or more to avoid its premature degradation. It's not really good make die your iPhone every day

Hi Faust_One, my 11 pro max doesn’t like that. I use airplane mode 9 hours at night and it’s not drops even 1% battery. have you turn down the brightness? See your screen time and battery usage that night. Capture it here.

Why don’t you charge your iphone until 100 percent before sleep? Because i always do that from my iphone 7 plus until now and it works well for the battery health. beside that we have a fast charging battery hahaha. So i only need 1 hour and 20 minutes to charge from 45 to 100 percent.

My iPhone 8 lasted much longer than this pro max I charged it last night this morning 100 percent used it 2 hours just browsing and it’s used 20 percent of battery sometimes I have to charge it 2 a day now it’s becoming a joke I must have a faulty battery

Today I confirm that after 2 weeks of use, the battery is back to the beginning for overnight without losing any battery and time is very good. I think maybe the first days of using the battery are not stable yet

That's everything over the last 24 hours. I don't use my phone for much. Was 100% when I left office at 4:30 PM, got home at 5:00 PM. Left phone unused all night until morning. Battery was at 45%. And I've disabled almost all background processes.

I think you should check your battery to the apple store. My screen on time is 7 hours and 25 minutes in 24 hours and my battery still at 44 percent. Can you screenshot your battery usage?
