Iphone 11 pro max battery dying fast

Anyone else having a problem with the battery tanking? I’ve covered all the bases. Brightness down, location services only while using apps, no background app refresh, etc. my battery is consistently going down 50% in 5 hours for the past 24 hours that I’ve tested it. Regular use, no difference between sleep & wake, it’s losing the same amount. Ideas??

There is definitely something wrong. My iPhone 11 Pro Max has been off the charger for 6 hours so far today and it still has 81% battery. At this rate, it will last up to 30 hours. Keep in mind that I am home so it has been on WiFi all day, which is much more efficient than cellular.

  • Go to Settings: Battery
  • View your usage for the last 24 hours
  • See if there are particular hours that stand out
  • Look at the apps and activity % to see which apps are sucking down the battery

Let me know what you find.

I have seen a situation like this before and doing a full reset of the phone fixed it. Not sure if we are there yet with your phone so you should check the list above.

Best,

Frank

Please help me out! I don’t know why but the battery life on my 11 pro max sucks! My battery drops 26%-30% overnight without usage! So I had my phone charged to 99% and when I woke up it was at 73%! Even my iPhone XS Max with 91 percent battery life would only lose 1-2% overnight. I don’t know why my iPhone battery is so bad! During typing this I dropped from 73% to 71% in like 40 seconds. Btw my iPhone is only a week old and has 100% battery life, and is always used with low brightness and most of the times with low power mod on even when fully charged

I have the same issue with my 5 day old iPhone 11 Pro. Battery drops 20-25% overnight and I have no idea why. App background usage is disabled on my phone. I don’t know what’s draining the battery. I’m so livid at Apple! I hope it’s just a software issue as some people have mentioned here. If my battery life doesn’t get better, I’ll very unwillingly have to return the phone and switch to Samsung. I would really hate to do that, but I don’t want to pay $1000 for a phone that’s defective.

After you reset (Erase and Reset All Settings) the phone from the settings menu, did you restore your phone from an iTunes backup?

That is what I plan on doing. Hopefully I’m going about this correctly. My battery is draining very badly and fast.

When I first setup my iPhone 11 Pro Max, I did the “Copy old phone to new phone” via holding one phone on top of the other wirelessly.

I am having the same issue. I bought my iPhone 11 Pro on 22 September and battery life has been absolutely shocking. I have tried various things such as dark mode, low brightness, turned off background app refresh but nothing worked. My battery most of the time goes down by 2% which is annoying. I also normally get 2 hours of battery life. I am not sure whether this is the battery on my phone or the iOS that’s causing these problems but I don’t think it’s the phone because it’s almost brand new, battery is at 100% in settings. Since buying it I have hoped that Apple would release an update that would fix this but they haven’t, instead they just released small updates that fix some bugs but not the important ones that everyone is facing, in fact they released iOS 13.2 the other day which mainly aims to focus peoples attention on new features instead of the bugs that they haven’t fixed that everyone is complaining about. I am finding this very frustrating because it’s not normal, I paid £1049 for a phone to use it without any problems and not have these absolutely absurd issues with the battery. Very frustrated and unhappy!

Hello again, guys. Would you consider this a good battery life or not? Maybe I’m just too sensitive and make a problem out of nothing. Today I’ve lightly used my phone and currently it’s at 72%. I’m still debating whether I should have it replaced for a new one or not. Is having 72% of battery after 2h11min of screen time normal on iPhone 11 Pro. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Faust_One, here are my settings for today. I used low power mode from 8 a.m to 9 p.m and my screen time 7 hours 14 minutes, battery still at 40 %. Is it normal? Because i think its not a big difference from my old iphone Xs Max haha. Apple said 11 Pro Max should lat 5 hours than Xs Max but i think its just totally wrong!!!

share my your idea :) thanks a lot. I’m appreciate!

Did anyone find a solution for this problem?

i used my iphone 11 pro max only for 3 months and the battery health dropped to 96%

first I thought maybe this is normal but now my phone don’t even last a full day with a normal use!!!

when I bought it brand new the battery life was amazing sometimes it lasts 2 days and with a heavy use it easily last a day and half

My iPhone 11 capacity went down in the first 2 weeks of having it and the dumb thing loses 2% every 3 minutes, I've done everything in my power to try to fix this but nothing has worked and personally I never use it anymore, I went out and bought a pixel and I have 0 issues with battery life on this device. If anyone can give me a new tip or solution I'll give apple 1 last chance but after that I'm done with it
