Siri not working with Apple music

i have an Apple music subscription. When I search for music, it plays. However, when I ask Siri to play something new that isn’t downloaded she says “I’m sorry, I can’t find [name of song] in your library”. All my Siri settings seem to allow for this so I can’t figure out why it’s happening.

Hello Abrunner4,

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you're having trouble with using Siri to play music. I'd be happy to provide a few steps that may help.

First, make sure your iPhone is fully updated: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Be sure to have a current back up prior to updating.

Next, navigate to Settings > Siri & Search > Music. Make sure that all options are enabled there.

If you're still having trouble, reply back with whether or not this happens while using Wi-Fi, cellular data, or both.

Take care.
