Ever since I downloaded iOS 13 it wont save as a PNG anymore

I run a business where I use my phone to save png photos(photos with transparent background). Ever since I downloaded IOS 13 it wont save as a png anymore. It will fill in what was supposed to be a transparent background with a white background. I am now loosing business and I do not know what to do. (If someone wants to know which app I am talking about that I use it is Photoshop Mix) Please release a revised update that solves this problem.(Had no problems before update.)

I am facing the same problem. Choose an image editor application which can import image from Dropbox or any other source than your camera roll. It will keep the transparency if you import the images from another source.

Unfortunately transparent PNGs getting white background when it saved to camera roll.

Hey all I found a third party app that renders png’s correctly. I too was going crazy trying to find a workaround like you all. The app is called Pro Knockout (See link below). Just use the free version. But the function you should use is AI Cutout. Just upload photo from camera roll and save to PNG. Worked for me-hope it works for you!

I’ve found a way around it as saving it to files isn’t a suitable option when you need to access it without a white background for use in other apps. I’ve done a screenshot tutorial to the best of my ability. First you want to download two apps if you don’t already have them. An app called “background eraser” and one called “Picsart” they look like this:

when you import your png into background eraser, the white background iOS 13 is adding is no longer there. So then, you want to click this:

if you haven’t paid to remove ads, you have to watch a video ad for 5-10 seconds. Make sure the 5-10 second timer is up then X out of the ad.

then, click this:

it will give you PicsArt as an option if you have download picsart and created an account. It should also let you choose to import into any of your photo editing apps.

click import

Click next

Click post (you can delete later, after you have done what you gotta do)

Click done

then, to access your png, go to your profile. Click the little person looking button to the far right.

your png will show up under stickers. I believe you can also export from picsart to most of your editing apps. I hope this helps. 😘

I had the same problem today with Photoshop Mix, so I recreated my watermark logo in Photoshop on a new background, but instead of using a blank white background, I used a transparent background. Then I added the image and text on new, blank laters, so everything but my logo was on a transparent background. I saved the file as a .png and then airdropped it to my iPad, where I used PS Mix to add the logo to a photo.

It worked fine. I just have a few more logos to fix.

The solution is to (instead of "saving" it) exporting your graphics in Photoshop as a 32-bit PNG (standard if you export with the tick in the box for PNG-transparency) which will make the transparency "true" making it show how you intended in more/all apps that support transparency/alpha channels. For instance this changes the results for the iOS13/Photos app! :) You can read more about this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/export-artboards-layers.html

Howdy there!

So I was running into the same problem. I had a logo that was a circle png at 200 x 200px.

But I had other png images that saved fine.

After a ton of trial and error, I found the issue actually has to do with the dimensions, not the way you save it, and not the program you save it from. Miraculously and randomly, if your png is 400px or greater (for both width and height) the png saves perfectly in photos with a transparent background. So it seems the source of this bug is a sizing issue. I've had no problems saving pngs now that I've figured out this bug. So if you need to save a logo or graphic to photos, just make sure to size it up so its dimensions are above 400px (does not have to be square).

I hope this helps. Cheers yo.
