My iTunes shortcut icon looks different

For no apparent reason, my iTunes icon/shortcut has changed. One day was fine and the next was not. Now the round music symbol is very, very small inside a white square. I deleted the icon and created a new shortcut from the app (Start menu), but the icon looks the same again. However, when I pin iTunes to the taskbar, the icon appears normal (round with the music symbol inside). I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it again, but it did not solve the problem. I am running Windows 10 in a new Acer Swift 3 laptop. Any ideas?

FINALLY! One of your links took me to a page where it reads "If you installed iTunes using the Microsoft Store find iTunes on the

Start menu, press and hold (or right-click) on the app, then select

Uninstall, reboot, then skip to the Installing section below. You might

want to use the download links further down the page rather than the Microsoft Store." Clicking on that blue link took me to the right place. Now I have an .exe to install and the shortcut icon looks wonderful.

Thanks for all your help!!!

I already tried Repair and Uninstall/Install. I think the problem roots in the fact that iTunes is not really "installed" on my computer. When I look into my programs (C drive), iTunes is not listed. However, every time I try to install iTunes, it sends me to the Microsoft Store, where you get the app, but there is no program installation. How can I install iTunes the old fashion way?
