Placing Items on Desktop
How can I set the desktop so I can drag items to where I want them and keep them from jumping to random locations? This problem occurred when I downloaded Mojave 10.14.6.

If you right-click or control-click on the background screen and then look at "Sort By" options, you might have something other than None selected -- doing that will force the desktop icons to be constantly resorted whenever the contents of the Desktop changes.
