I only have a 6 with all the updates; so this is not good enough?

I only have a 6+ IPHONE; do I have to have something bigger & better? I have done all the appropriate updates. Am I out of luck? Am I going to be forced into buying a newer & fancier IPhone version?

Your phone will continue to work just as it always has. No one is going to force you into getting a new phone. That choice is up to you. If you ever need an app that needs a newer iOS version to run, then at that time you may decide to purchase a new phone. Until that time, continue to use your current phone.

No. Your phone released 5 years ago. It only has 1 GB of RAM. The hardware is too outdated for iOS 13. If you only like your upgrade your phone every 5 years - or not at all, then you can see it as being forced.

Your phone will continue to work on iOS 12 just fine.
