On Mojave 10.14.4 and Safari 13.
I am trying to set up a Google account in the Mail app. It displays a message 'Google requires completing authentication in Safari.' When I click on Open Safari, Safari doesn't open and the Open Safari box is greyed out.
I know there was a similar problem earlier this year. Was it ever resolved? Has the latest update to Mojave and/or Safari broken it again?

I have since found out that Safari 13.0 was the problem. Apple have now fixed this with Safari version 13.0.1 and that is available as an update now.

I believe this had been resolved... I successfully added a Google account about a week or so ago (on 10.14.6) but after applying the v13 Safari update, it's broken again.

You'd think Apple would have been careful not to reintroduce an issue they cleared a while ago. Makes you wonder how many other previously fixed issues [that are not so obvious to spot for an end user] come back in later versions.
