iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

New iPhone 11 on iOS 13 is having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

both my daughter and I are having the similar issues.

daughters phone is an 11 64GB Purple.

mine is an 11 128GB White

Hers gets connected to her 2018 Toyota C-HR and constantly drops out. Her iPhone 7 Plus never had any issues.

I have mine connected to a Boss BT module on my motorcycle. Never had any issues with my iPhone X.

neither of our other phones we’re running iOS 13.

I updated to 13.1.2 It looks like "MOST" of my issues have been fixed with this latest update. My 2012 Scion xB stock stereo is now not dropping or getting garbled calls. My iFrogz headphones are now staying connected when paused in Pandora.


The only remaining bug(s) I'm seeing are:


  1. Hey Siri is somewhat spotty. Like the phone isn't hearing me sometimes. Very random.
  2. When placing a call via Hey Siri in my car, the bluetooth connection between my iphone 11 and my scion xB, will connect/disconnect several times before the dialing sound starts. Once the dialing starts, it stays connected.

I am also having a Bluetooth connectivity issues. Yesterday I upgraded from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 11. Both are running iOS13.1


My Garmin Forerunner has connected without issue and maintains connection. My Anker "Soundbuds Slim" bluetooth earphones, while discovered by the 11, cannot be paired.


I can connect them to the 7 without any issues. This is frustrating as they're only a week old.

Same issue here. Everyday I have to "forget this device" then re-connect my phone to my 2014 Dodge. Never had this issue with my other phones. Also it will NOT re-connect on its own. Super frustrating, especially since I can't pair my phone while the car is moving. Two days in a row I've had to use speaker phone on the way home. PLEASE FIX THIS!!

Chris, a tech from Apple called me tonight. We ran some tests and created some logs so they can investigate further.

Mind you, I never called Apple to report this issue. They called me! How awesome is that!

we played phone tag a couple of days but finally connected tonight.

I don’t know any other company that would reach out like that..

Relax everyone, they will get to the bottom of the issue and fix it, I have no doubt.

I know it’s going to be frustrating in the mean time especially for the people that use their BT everyday. Me personally, I don’t so it’s not a big deal.

All i am saying is you should be very careful, i do not see a single response here from

apple and they just called you without you calling them, thats kinda suspicious, don't you think? I just called them and they ask me to update with latest 13.1 and if i still face issue than have to call them back. Again they asked me to call them , not the other way around.

I am also having this same problem and it is affecting my job since I NEED to have reliable phone access while in my car.


I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb and my car is a 2018 Toyota Prius 3.


I have no problems with establishing a connection. But, when I place or receive a call the bluetooth gets "unstable" and will randomly end the call and/or disconnect from the car. And most of the time I will have to actually turn off/on the car to get it working again.


I haven't placed a support ticket yet because from reading all these responses all they will do is tell me to do the same things that I have already done. And, I'm not sure if getting a new phone will help (bought it from Verizon) since I've also read others are still having the same problem after doing that.
