iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

Interesting. This may be this most helpful info I’ve read so far. I wonder how many others of us having this issue also have a watch paired. I’m unpairing mine now. I’d rather a worthless watch than a bunch of tickets bc I can’t use my phone hands free!

I’m having the same issue with my 11 pro max every time I connect my Bose quiet comfort 35’s they randomly say that they are disconnected but the iPhone still says that they are connected. I have a MacBook Pro and it never has this problem my partner has an iPhone X and she has never had the issue using the same headphones. It’s frustrating as anything!

I have not been able to connect anything via Bluetooth since getting the 11 September 20. I have two different case numbers assigned and the support person I talked with last night informed me that Apple is doing this as a case by case situation vs an iPhone 11 problem. After running the tests they asked me last night the performance of the phone is significantly worse. What does it take for Apple to take this seriously and come up with a solution. The fact that this phone was released without knowledge of this problem is unreal.

Did both, response was: "have you tried another pair of headphones/Airpods/Car/BT-speaker/devices to eliminate the possibility of device problem?" Answered "Yes, I have! No difference & problem still exists".

"We will take this with our engineers and get back to you"

Still no answer or response!

I am assuming here that you are an Apple employee.

I work for a rather big company myself and when someone has a complaint about a product of my company I am able to get this complaint quicker at the right desk via internal communication then sending this person via the helpdesk.

In my experience a lot of people who complain on fora don’t necessarily take the time to fill out forms.

If you really are an Apple employee I think it would be helpful if you can direct our concerns directly to the iOS software department.

If you are not an Apple Employee than disregard this post....

Imagine going through the exact same questions with different advisors over and over again.

It seems as if they don't communicate with each other. The left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing, and vice versa.

After spending numerous hours of chat session and phone calls, they finally got me tired out.

This issue with the iPhone 11 is it does not work with any classic Bluetooth connection- which is what just about every Bluetooth device uses. Apple seemed to forget that not everything uses their proprietary Bluetooth aka MFI

You know that you're the only one's been saying everything works fine at your end.

So you're an exception, so what? You are not a help to so many others, including me, on this thread.

I'd bet you'd say what the same thing we say if you're having the same issue as the rest of us.

My brand new iPhone 11 (got it 2 days ago!) connects to nothing!!!!! Not one single Bluetooth item is it connecting to.

just the little ‘thinking wheel’ appears under devices and just never goes away. I had about 8 Bluetooth devices on my old iPhone and it is not listing or connecting to any of them! Not even the car. Not happy Apple!

Well if you are in support you should also know it’s definitely not a universal issue.

i have had zero BT issues in at least 14 hours of BT usage both as an audio player and to take and make phone calls.

My BT devices are older, so that may or may not be a useful data point in your mind but it is notable.

Add my iPhone 11 with iOS 13.1.2 to the list.

It continually disconnects from Denon HEOS speaker bluetooth.

It continually disconnects from Subaru Outback Harman Kardon head unit.

It continually disconnects from my Phonak Audeo Marvel hearing aids.

I can get around the first two using a cable. The third not so much.

Wife's iPhone 6S with iOS 13.1.2 does not have these problems.

I am having way more issues with the 11 max pro 256g than any other iPhone I’ve had ever! 😑 My husband hates his 11 64g. I have never been able to connect my phone to my car Bluetooth; with all updates; my email has to manually checked or else they never show up on my screen. I have go into my local store to meet with a genius to have them look at both phones; it’s ridiculous that these things are an issue! If I’m paying out the bum for both new phones I don’t expect them to have these issues!

I think this will only help if an app has asked for Bluetooth and been denied.

My problems include

-The Music app, which to my knowledge automagically has access

-Non-app connections as in just keeping phone connected to car. No way to enable Bluetooth on these. Either Bluetooth is on or off.

I have a plain 11 and the updates have not helped at all !!! Bluetooth drops all calls and disconnects from my 2019 Toyota Tacoma. My iPhone 7 NEVER dropped a call ! I hate this phone. I am thinking I need to sell my Apple stock too .

I'm saying the trick is not possible if the app does not appear in a list of apps for which you can enable/disable bluetooth when I go to Privacy/Bluetooth.

I see know way to make the Apple Music app show up in this list. And, as I said, there is no app that would show up in this list for pairing with my car or HEOS speaker.

I've forgotten and re-paired to many times to count. I don't see how this is not a hardware problem.

I will be returning my phone.
