iPhone 11 on iOS 13 having Bluetooth connectivity issues

New iPhone 11 on iOS 13 is having Bluetooth connectivity issues.

both my daughter and I are having the similar issues.

daughters phone is an 11 64GB Purple.

mine is an 11 128GB White

Hers gets connected to her 2018 Toyota C-HR and constantly drops out. Her iPhone 7 Plus never had any issues.

I have mine connected to a Boss BT module on my motorcycle. Never had any issues with my iPhone X.

neither of our other phones we’re running iOS 13.

I updated to 13.1.2 It looks like "MOST" of my issues have been fixed with this latest update. My 2012 Scion xB stock stereo is now not dropping or getting garbled calls. My iFrogz headphones are now staying connected when paused in Pandora.

The only remaining bug(s) I'm seeing are:

  1. Hey Siri is somewhat spotty. Like the phone isn't hearing me sometimes. Very random.
  2. When placing a call via Hey Siri in my car, the bluetooth connection between my iphone 11 and my scion xB, will connect/disconnect several times before the dialing sound starts. Once the dialing starts, it stays connected.

At the moment, I just want to get my iPhone 7 back working with bluetooth like it always did.

Several people here, say "an upgrade might create incompatibility with certain devices". That is ok if you could format your phone and install the previous version like in any Android ou PC.

With iOS, you upgrade and you get your phone broken without any chance of fixing it (Apple doesn't allow a downgrade to iOS 12.4.1 anymore). A very risky system in my opinion ( I don't write more, or else my post might get deleted by Apple).

In Android you can do a factory reset and install the last version that worked.

Is there any way to downgrade to 12.4.1 and get the bluetooth back to normal?

If not, Apple please allow people to downgrade!

well the iOS 13.1.2 update did not fix the bluetooth issue. my iPhone 11 with 13.1.2 iOS update it recognizes the bluetooth device but will not fully connect to iPhone. ******* me off. I paid a lot of money for this iPhone 11 and would like for it to work correctly. my older bluetooth devices work but I have a raycon E50 earbud that will not fully connect to the device. I have emailed rayconglobal about this issue and they said that the 13.1.2 iOS update should fix the issue. BUT IT DID NOT! The earbuds work on all my other devices so why not the iPhone 11?????? apple do something. we pay lots of money for your devices and we should not be having small issues like this on our products we purchase!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That’s a tough one to answer. Cant really put a percentage on it. The fact that it still occurs is troubling. It usually corrects itself after about 5 seconds. It’s happened twice now and before 13.2 ...it happened Maybe 4 times. Good news is I haven’t experienced BT volume issues. In 13.1.2, there were many times if I received a phone call, I would answer the phone from AirPods and my volume level would be very low.....to correct I had to go to settings and then sounds and haptics and adjust the volume slider in either direction until the volume level returned to normal/synced on the AirPods. The physical buttons for volume up/down did not correct the issue ever. Also, I never experienced the volume issue when listening to music or if I initiated the call.

That's interesting. I have a 2018 Toyota Prius and I've had call issues from the moment I got the iPhone 11. Have worked with Verizon and Apple for HOURS and nothing has helped. I have the latest FW version for my car and I'm running 13.1.3. At this point, I don't know what else to do. All I can do is wait for another update that will fix the issue.

Thanks for the info William.

As much as I'd like to think contacting Apple 10+ times per day will do anything... it doesn't. The customer service reps I have dealt with have been rude, continuing to say that a factory restore will fix all issues. NEWS FLASH - it doesn't. I even provided a link to this discussion... didn't do anything.

Very disappointed in Apple as I know Apple customers are loyal and don't deserve to be treated this way.

After 13.1.3 and still disconnecting when i make calls. tried turning off apple watch, also deleting pairing and re-pairing didn't help. even turned off sync and nada. my cheap bluetooth headset i bought on amazon that i use at the gym has no issues.

with that sad, i went the route of full restoration last night and spent the later of 4 hours trying to restore as a new phone then from backup. paired again this morning and still the same thing. this is one of the more painful upgrades for me as an early adopter.
