If you can't connect a Bluetooth accessory to your iPhone ...

iOS 13 has following improvements and nothing in specific to Bluetooth change has been highlighted by Apple in iPhone 11

Control Center

You can now select Wi‑Fi networks and Bluetooth accessories right from Control Center.

Game Controllers

PlayStation 4 controller support

Use your PlayStation 4 game controller with iPhone.

Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth

Connect your Xbox Wireless Controller with Bluetooth to iPhone.

Find offline devices

Locate a missing device even if it’s not connected to Wi‑Fi or cellular using crowd‑sourced location. When you mark your device as missing and another Apple user’s device is nearby, it can detect your device’s Bluetooth signal and report its location to you. It’s completely anonymous and encrypted end‑to‑end, so everyone’s privacy is protected.

Bluetooth album art

iOS supports the AVRCP 1.6 standard, which includes album art when connected to a supported car kit or speaker.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth location privacy enhancements

API changes and new controls help prevent apps from accessing your location without your consent while you’re using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

As before, what kind of vehicles?

My iPhone 11 Pro Max has had no difficulty connecting and staying connected to anything… but once again I started with the pairing deleted from both the vehicle and the phone.

I know working head ends include those in a 2011 Toyota and a 2020 Ford as well as a Denon D-M41 home stereo; the more information Apple has the better.

2014 Toyota 4Runner

2016 Lexus RX460

Same problem in both. Again, this was troubleshot with an Apple rep. Ive NEVER had any connections w apple devices to these cars (had dozens of Apple phones between the 2 of us over the years). I'm very familiar with everything Apple. This is something different, theres definitely something wrong. And yes, we had deleted ALL connections in car and phone, started new, renamed the phone, still having the same issues.

I am also having this same problem and it is affecting my job since I NEED to have reliable phone access while in my car.

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max 256gb and my car is a 2018 Toyota Prius 3.

I have no problems with establishing a connection. But, when I place or receive a call the bluetooth gets "unstable" and will randomly end the call and/or disconnect from the car. And most of the time I will have to actually turn off/on the car to get it working again.

I haven't placed a support ticket yet because from reading all these responses all they will do is tell me to do the same things that I have already done. And, I'm not sure if getting a new phone will help (bought it from Verizon) since I've also read others are still having the same problem after doing that.

Well I'm sure Apple is investigating, but we also know the problem is not universal, as I can say it never occurred with any Bluetooth device I have access to with either an XS Max or a 11 Pro Max.

That doesn't mean there isn't a software bug, just that it isn't something that affects every connection; my 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser and the 2020 Ford rental I had interoperated with iOS 13.1 and Bluetooth perfectly.

That's why the device listings I asked for are handy - more data for Apple to try and figure out who is at fault and who needs to correct the issue.

Both 2017 Porsche Macan & 2017 Jeep Cherokee having issues with two different iP11 Pro Max's (iOS 13.1). Also having connection issues with Apple AirPods and Plantronics Savi 745 headset. Never had any issue with these same devices with iP XS with iOS 12. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to try iOS 13 on the XS's. I wish I still had my XS. I'd really like to try it with iOS 13.1

Mine seems to be resolved with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and Plantronics PLT_Edge bluetooth headset after forgetting on iPhone and then repairing. It is no longer disconnecting after 60 seconds or so. I had paired this headset initially with iOS 13 when I received the phone and then updated to 13.1. I have also paired my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Uconnect after updating to 13.1 and have had no issues there either.
