Apple Watch series 5 battery life

I do not think 6.0.1 made any difference. Dropped 4% in 30 minutes.

Yep 11% per hour... My watch is dead. It was 100% at 09:00 this morning, did NOTHING except wear it with AOD, it has 6.0.1 and is shut down at 19:30. 10 hours 30 minutes... :(

My update for same issue ... did the reset/unpair, update, and nothing has improved. With my series 4 I'd usually have 40-50% after 22 hrs, now I'm always in the red (<20%).

Is your S4 also cellular+wifi? Seeing some reports that it might be only affecting the cellular+wifi models, not the wifi only ones.

This gives me hope for a fix with Watch OS 6.1

Yes, Cellular model.

I have read so much about this issue and there are so many theories as to what is the cause. I doubt we will ever know. Apple will no doubt fix it and we’ll all move on.

No, battery of my S5 is similar to my S3. So no problems here

Do any of you look at the actual usage in settings? It will tell actual standby and real-time usage. And if so what figures are you getting? You can check on the Watch for quickest results.

My usage and standby figures have always been the same on series 5.

So what are they?

My understanding of the Usage data is “Usage” represents time the Watch is active, ie, screen on. “Standby” represents total time since taken off charger after reaching 100%.
