Is anyone having battery issues with their S5 Watch?

Yes it does, it monitors activity. So unless you are not moving or breathing as it does heart rate unless you have switched it off.

So I just upgraded from a series 2 to a series 5. Yesterday was my first full day and about a hour and a half in I was shocked to see the battery at 84%. Today I turned off the noise measurement & after 6 hours, a trip to the gym it’s at 83%. Seems clear what feature is eating the battery.

So what you are saying is that my usage and standby time will always be the same as long as I wear the watch and am alive? Then it is pointless.
I'm on my third S5 Cellular, hoping it was a hardware issue, it is not. Same awful battery life!!
This seems to be part of my issue:
i have a hunch that its an icloud sync thing.
But what is it syncing? I disabled the background refresh for calendars, as I my thought was it has something to do with non-working Calendar complication. But consumption is the same...
I wonder is Watch 6.1 update fixes this? I would love to hear from anyone on this thread on what they are seeing. If I read positive results, I may jump back in and buy again to see.
Just applied it. 45 minutes later (after a full charge) and my watch is at 96%. Does not look good. iOS 13.2 and watchOS 6.1.
I don't think it fixes the issue either!!! I had held out hope, now too late to return my watch!!
Not yet for me according to my Apple Watch Software Update. Just ran it to check.

Yes for past 3 weeks my watch is rarely lasting more than 8 hours - very annoying
That is so rude of them. Have you tried explaining that you will go to whatever you call consumer affairs where you live?
Change is coming; I now get 24-30 hours with my S5 where it used to be 12-16 hours. Keep monitoring the usual channels. You should know when it happens.
