Apple just released iOS 13.1.1 to fix battery drain issues.

wonder if the interface between the iPhone and watch is the problem

if not will wait for Watch OS 6.1 for a fix

I've updated to 13.1.1 and no improvement observed. It's charging now, I unpaired and set up a new watch...will see.

Thanks for the info JT73, sadly looks like the AOD is the cause of the battery drain. I found it hard to believe it wouldn’t have an impact on the battery life.

Yes - didn't even last a day. Went to store yesterday, he said it's firmware issues and had to restart/re-paired my watch.

Keeping an eye on the battery today but not looking good!

I turned all the back ground refresh off, I’m restarting, but I really don’t want to set my watch up as new instead of from a back up. Won’t I lose all my exercise data?

No. It syncs to the health app. You might lose your steps for that day but that’s it.

I agree. I’m going to be flying and playing with aod with airplane mode on just to see what Happens with absolutely nothing connected. I’m hopeful Apple fixes this ASAP.

I'm sure, you'll nothing loose. It syncs with the health app. All my data were synced after installing the Apple Watch as a new one.
