Ipad Air 2 won't connect to WiFi after iPadOS 13 upgrade

I've tried rebooting iPad, rebooting router, resetting network settings on iPad, and toggling airplane mode on/off. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Thanks

It's fixed! I did a full recovery from iTunes while holding down the Home button (as per https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204306)

and when it asked I restored from the iTunes backup I took before upgrading to iPadOS 13. It all worked. Came up running iPadOS 13.1, connected to my WiFi router and all seems to be well now.

Oh boy am I glad I took both an iTunes and an iCloud backup before I started this saga! Paranoia wins again.

Yup.. upgraded to 13.1.1 (from 13.1) and that hasn't fixed the issue. I had an email from Apple Engineering asking me to install stuff to diagnose the problem; replied to them with other info they wanted (but didn't install the program) and they've not got back to me, in-spite of me sending a follow-up email a few days later to ask whether they had what they needed.

For anyone with BT Internet (UK), you can attach to the BT FON open access point on your router & log in with your BT account.. this is how I was able to download the software update this morning.

The Apple rep who said that there was no pattern of this issue was incorrect. I talked to a senior support person at Apple yesterday morning who said that there was an incident report on this issue.

After working with four different support people at Apple this week, my iPad remains unfixed, so I'm going to the Genius Bar at Apple to get it fixed.

Apparently, for many of us, that's the only way to get this addressed.

Same problem here. In addition, "settings" is screwed up - I wasn't able to enter Apple ID, skipped it, and now after a couple of restarts "settings" wants to "update Apple ID". After about 5 minutes I was able to enter the password, but 10 minutes later it was still not accepted.

Furthermore, the iPad seems generally broken - apps load slowly, then mostly crash back to the home screen.

I should have known better...looking into downgrade. Really irritating.

I am upset with myself that I upgraded my iPad today to iPadOS 13.1 because it's useless now:

I can't log onto my wifi at all, it won't allow me to join even though my password works with all of my other devices

and

overall, it has slowed to a crawl.

Since I can't access the internet at all, how do I recover?

I've tried powering off, forgetting the network, resetting the network, etc. to no avail.

Help!

Same here, did all of - restart router, reset networks, forget network, tried manual settings, hard power-off, using hotspot, manual IP address, delete device from router DHCP table n(why was it still showing?), UBS connect to router - nothing works and unable to restore as backup in cloud! Coincidentally my local mast has been out for 6 days so no mobile connectivity at home. Going to upgrade to iPhone 11 in store tomorrow so will throw myself on their mercy.

The issue seems to be totally down to corrupted network sign-on settings so not accepting password and just looping through enter password-join-enter password etc.

I have this issue too with my iPad Air 2. It happened right after I upgraded to 10.13.1. It can connect to public / un-secure Wi-Fi network but anything that requires a password will not work. I am also not having any luck with my iCloud login from my iPad using the a public Wi-Fi. Works fine from my Mac so it is not a password issue. Apple, please fix. I don't want to reset my iPad.

Same problem here. Slow performance, unable to join password-protected WiFi. But here's something that made it even worse. I created an open WiFi network and connected to it successfully. iPad started to work, albeit sluggishly. I figured that I should updated iOS to 13.1.1, thinking that the issue might have been addressed. Bad idea. It no longer boots into iOS at all, stays on an Apple logo screen, occasionally flashes, but is otherwise unresponsive. I'm not even able to shut it down using the button combination. Will try to take it to an Apple store, we'll see what happens. But word of caution - do not upgrade to iOS 13.1.1 at this time!

Yep, me too. iPad Air 2 won't connect to any secured WiFi network. 2.4GHz, 5GHz makes no difference, if it has a password then it won't connect to it (can connect to a hotspot with no password, but that's hardly a solution). It seems like it isn't accepting the password entered, it sits there for several seconds with network access indicator rotating and then just gives up.

I restarted iPad, reset network settings, forgot previously joined networks, nothing fixes it.

I upgraded this Air 2 from 12.4.1 using iTunes 12.9.5.5 on a MacBook Pro. Upgrade seemed to go fine, no errors or other messages.
