I have not had that issue with the camera however I literally just had the Iphone freeze for the first time on me. I swiped up to go home after being on messenger and the screen went black with the white bar at the bottom. I could not click out of it to go home and while I was able to swipe down and see the notifications from that menu and swipe down left diagonally the phone would not go home or allow me to do anything. Ended up doing a Vol up, down side button reset and its working again, but still confused as to what happened. I do run into the issue throughout the day as well where my cellular connection "freezes" and I have to switch to airplane mode and back for it to "reconnect". That happens multiple times during the day and is quite annoying.

I would try

flushing ram with home button from assistive

toggle on then off airplane mode with 30 second wait between

sign out of Apple ID

power off through settings general

sigb out Apple ID of your laptop or other device then power off and back on

theb power your phone back on

if still no joy then

turn off and on where ever you sync contacts from

I’m having this issue too. It’s random. I just bought this phone a couple of weeks ago. It’s a iPhone 11 pro max. Sometimes I will try to check an app like email, or camera, instagram and it will open with a black screen, nothing else. When I try to close it, it does but then when I try again I get the black screen and then I go back to home screen. Nothing responds. It doesn’t respond to any touch. When I then try to power off to sleep, it does but doesn’t respond trying to turn it back on. It still doesn’t respond when I try to force restart with power and volume up button. If you hold it for about 15-20 seconds, sometimes it just starts to slowly fade back on to the screen and all is back to normal. I get this at least twice a day.

I’m not sure what is going on with your phones but I also have an 11 Pro Max and experience none of these issues.

If your phone is slow or laggy I would check for an incompatible app that is using a lot of battery in the background.

Admittedly, I do not use Google Maps, I use Waze and it’s been perfect.

I am obviously I’m not saying you’re not having problems, it’s just that there must be some third factor involved, because I don’t, a valuable troubleshooting point of its own.

I've just updated to the most recent IOS. It fixed the issue with all Apple Apps not loading without a wifi connection however it hasn't fixed the random 'touch' screen or screen freezing issues that I have. Today, the number 3 on the touch screen pad unresponsive (the rest of the numbers worked fine)?! Then, after my phone was sat still for a while, I lifted it up and noticed the time was stuck at 9.10pm but it was 9.15pm..... I tapped the screen a number of times but it was just stuck, then all of a sudden it righted itself. It's very buggy. Is Apple looking into this?

NB I had taken mine back to the store (only had it a few weeks) but they couldn't help and just advised to wait for an update. I'll be going back in again soon.....
