iPhone 11 Pro Max - freezing issues

I have an iPhone 11 Pro Max. This morning when I woke up I went to turn off my alarm before it sounded my phone froze and wouldn’t ring or receive messages until the battery finally died. My phone was warm to the touch and luckily it o my took half the day to die since it was running the whole time lights and everything. I couldn’t get it to turn off at all until it died. Has anyone else had this problem?

This has now just started happening to me over the last few days and getting progressively worse. Started with Google Maps Freezing, then iTunes, App Store and now Apple Support won't even open! Also the phone is heating up significantly under the camera. I haven't installed any new apps.

Depends on your phone and iOS

You want to hold the power button for power off but then HOLD the Home button til screen returns

Enter passcode

That or enable your assistive: Settings > General > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch (ON)

It creates a home button on the screen. Use that button for home.

You can also go to General > ShutDown > Then TAP on the assistive touch home button and hit holding home.

I agree, normally my phone has disconnected from the Wi-fi whilst it’s in go-slow mode.

I have also temporarily disabled the ability to hold the power button to call the emergency services as I sometimes called 999 trying to hard reset.

I find it tends to crash on standby and not when I’m using it. Hard reset about twice a day now.

I have the iPhone 11 Pro (for less than 3 months) and it’s freezing at least once a day. The problem ranges across multiple apps and that makes me think it is simply the phone itself. I also have to sometimes click on something 5-10 times before it will actually engage the click. Hello, Apple, anybody listening? What’s the solution?

Yup. Mine keeps freezing when I’m in the middle of a call. If I close the app and reopen, the app is still frozen. Can swipe around open a few things but can’t modify/enter data into any app. The only thing that fixes it is a hard reset. I’m constantly getting frozen on calls, the call drops, and I can’t even message the person to tell them it will be 3-5 min before my phone reboots. It’s cool to have features on a phone but jesus, make sure the actual phone part works too.

I have my iPhone 11 Pro Max bought nov 2019 and today 20 aug 2020 ,the phone got frozen, no water damage or fall. Was not able to restart. And no store support now due to panademic. The only option was to send it back. Apple will hold price on my credit card and will take 5 business days. It is frustrations not to have phone for 5 days since all phone numbers and everything in the phone. Apple did not have a good troubleshooting tech available. When you send your phone never know if your ID is compromised. Since you are not able to erase. Not sure some how you can erase before sending and not sure what excuses They have. if they take your money for the replacement.

I am facing somehow the same issue with my 8 plus and 11 pro max, while using screen freeze. My iPhones simply stop responding even sleep/volume keys/home button. but after 5, 10 secs it starts responding by itself. So I presume it might be some kind of software issue.

I have been having it happen several times. Even has to hard reset it. It took so long to reboot I thought it wouldn’t.

The only way to close out an app... Not minimize, but completely clear it out.

So have you contacted WhatsApp? It's their application, they are responsible for making sure it actually works.

I have the pro and it freezes in youtube videos where you have hard time backing out and a couple games too.

It doesn't do the same on the 6, so I think it's a glitch.
