Itunes crashing

Hi fellow apple friends, need some help please I'm trying to back up my iPhone x so i can be able to go out and get my self the new pro tomorrow but iTunes seems to be giving me a hard time,

I've updated both my iPhone and iTunes, i am using a MacBook pro, and what's seems to be happening is that i click the phone icon at the top of iTunes click backup now sometimes and then boom it crashes sometimes it crashes as soon as i hit the phone icon can someone please help me it would be much appreciated thank you!

Try this on the MBP first...

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
