iPhone 8 responsive with black screen

My iPhone 8's screen randomly went black without cause however is still responsive to certain actions. When I plug my phone in it vibrates, when I ping my phone from my apple watch it still rings, and when I hit the home button I feel the vibrate. I have tried a few things I found online like the reset by pushing the up volume, down volume and holding the power button which was unsuccessful. I was hoping someone had some insight on this issue? I have not dropped or damaged my phone in anyway so I am hoping this can be a quick fix! Thanks in advance!

Hello, mcfuhrman.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities! I understand that your iPhone 8 still turns on, but the display remains black.

It sounds like you've tried the troubleshooting steps listed here: If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support

If those steps did not resolve the issue and you still see a black screen and can hear alerts, sounds, and vibrations, contact Apple Support: Contact - Official Apple Support

Take care.
