iPhone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

The same happened to my iPhone Pro. I just got it yesterday and kept it in a pocket with nothing else. Less than a day later and there's already a scratch. I didn't have this problem with the iPhone X.

I’ve had my iPhone 11 for about a month now & just from regular use, I have at least 8 deep scratches in the screen. I’ve been an iPhone user since the beginning & have NEVER had a screen so EASILY damaged. Some of the scuffs look like a greasy smudge but is in fact scratched. People beware: iPhone 11 screen glass is SUPER easy to scratch and WILL get damaged if you put your phone in a pocket with keys or pocket change.

I owned and used daily my iPhone 5s with no screen protector for 5 years.

It did not have a scratch on it.

finally broke down and spent the money on the iPhone 11(supposedly fantastic phone) and I had it for only about 2 months before a scratch appeared down the middle of the screen!

Disappointing to say the least!!!

Bring back the old screen formula and give iPhone 11 consumers an extra discount for the shoddy workmanship of the iPhone 11 screen.

I was waiting for Apple to officially say something regarding the iPhone 11 screens that is easy to scratch, but I haven't heard anything from them. Since the first week of use my iPhone got scratches on its glass, and I only had used it my pants pockets with nothing else, only the iPhone and I got deep scratches on the glass that was announced as the toughest glass in a smartphone. I use iPhone since the 3G version and never got this problem before. I asked on Apple Store if Apple had an official position regarding this matter but them hadn't even heard about any problem. What should I do about it Apple? I have an iPhone Pro Max and my wife has an iPhone Pro, both with same problem. Really disappointed with Apple, maybe is time to go to another brand, it is getting more expensive each year for a worst quality product.

I don’t see how “most” people are fine spending $700-$1200 on a phone which scratches from putting it in your pocket 2 days later.

I feel stupid having to put a glass screen protector to avoid glass scratches on my replacement iPhone 11.

As I said before, call Apple customer support and talk to a senior advisor. They sent me a brand new replacement iPhone 11.

Comparing a $1,000 phone getting its screen scratched from just being in a fabric pocket is like your $100,000 car paint being scratched from just rain.

Car paint is designed for all types of normal weather. Road debris is not normal usage for a car because it is actually damage, but putting a phone in a pocket is normal usage. Your analogy makes no sense.

My IPhone 11 screen mysteriously got a large scratch in it within 48 hours of very mild use. It was not dropped or abused and only went in and out of an empty shirt pocket! I am none the less extremely disappointed in this. The phone is brand new! I have multiple Apple Products, including a IPad, IPhone 6s and 4s. My wife has an IPad mini, IPhone 7 and 6 and an I-watch. My father and mother have a iPhone 7 And an IPhone SE. All products are in perfect scratch free condition! All of which are years old and have been in heavy use and still are. None have ever even needed any type of screen protection for scratches. Att. Refused to take the phone back due to the scratch even though they were the very ones who sold me the fact that this Phone was supposed to be the most durable one ever! Apple said I need to get Apple Care! Apple what in the world is going on? How could you do this to some of your most loyal customers?

Having the same issue. Have had the phone a week take very good care of it and now a big deep scratch out of no where. So frustrating! Never have I had an issue with scratches on any apple product. I have submitted a ticket with Apple and seeing a tech in an hour. Considering returning this 11 pro and going with an android if this is how Apple takes care of its people. Very disappointed in Apple.

Come on Williams. You won’t pay hundred thousand to think if you car are scratched or not. I’ve just Jeep Grand Cherokee (but fast one) - half price of cheapest Porsche. But don’t have any idea to protect car though we got desert storm few times per year. Friends of mine was shocked about links you’ve posted who owns Porsche or Ferrari. Windscreen in Ferrari is very robust one - could check that this morning.
