iPhone 11 screen scratches

my wife and me have put our brand new iphones 11 inside our pocket pants and both screens get scratched the second day of use (mines right in the selfie camera, apple says “without mal function”...). Has someone experimented somethg similar? We are really dissapointed, apple only cares if you have bought “apple care”....we cant use the screen without a protection: worst screen ever....👎

The same happened to my iPhone Pro. I just got it yesterday and kept it in a pocket with nothing else. Less than a day later and there's already a scratch. I didn't have this problem with the iPhone X.

Just go to any Apple Store and compare the exhibited Iphones!

The Iphones 11 are littered with scratches! The Iphones X and 8 have only a few scratches.

Clearly visible with dark display and held against the light.

The Iphones 11 partly have such deep scratches that they are clearly visible even with a bright display.

And yes, watch the people for a few minutes, they grab the Iphones 11 and X / 8 alike!

If that is not the ultimate proof of a systematic product or production defect ..

Looking forward for the answers from the "Apple Marketing Department" with "creative counter-arguments" ;-)

Hi there,

same problem but with iPhone 11 Pro. I have iPhone from the 3G model and always keep the smartphone in my jeans front pocket with nothing else.

Never in 11 years I have see my iPhone with scratches 2 months after buying it, and this without the iphone falling, placing it always face up and paying attention to not putting it in the same pocket with other metallic objects.

All my other iPhone were nearly perfect after 2 years of use, to testify this I never had an issue selling them, there is definitely something wrong with the glass this year.

I have the same problem, it has been around 3 weeks since i bought an iphone 11, never dropped it, never put it in the same place with shard objects, yesterday I realized that there are 2 major scratches on the screen. Firstly i thought my eyes were lapsing, couldnt believe this phone's screen may get scratched so easily, total disappointment.

This seems to happen regardless of the model phone, I have had this issue happen to mine ranging from the 6 plus all the way up to the 11 pro. After running cases and screen protectors on all the models that I have had over the years from the 6 plus to the X have all gone into life proof cases with the screen protectors and all have suffered the same fate. Now before you all flame me for and say oh well you should have put it in the case, let me clear the air first all my phones and cases have been bought at the exact same time. Every time I have had the apple folks put the screen protectors on and the case on before carefully inspecting the phone to make sure there were no marks during unboxing. For those who state well that has not happened to mine I am willing to bet if held up to a bright enough led light you tone will change. Having said that no phone is going to remain new out the box its part of the normal wear and tear. I like everyone else always keep my phone in my right pocket without anything else in it, along side cleaning out said pocket of and lint, sand, and dust particles before I even put my phone in there and yet still I have one small scratch on the screen, one on the apple logo and one on the bezel at top. There is nothing you can do about it scratches are going to happen. Yeah it stinks buying a phone that cost that much only to have it marked up, but its meant to be used and the only way to keep it mark free is to leave it in the box and admire it from a far.
