I can’t seem to figure out how to get my Apple TV and the Apple Arcade app to play through my Homepods. Has anyone else experienced this issue or is this one of those things that might be updated in a future iOS/ipadOS/tvOS or HomePod system update? 🙈

Not sure but the HomePod still has not received the software update to catch up
you can use the home app to change airplay settings ; try everyone
Don’t have the Sonos, but also did try with both versions if AirPods, no good.
Figured trying to do it from y airplay from the gen 3 iPad Pro but that didn’t work either.
I did get a call back from Apple support today and told me the engineers are still looking into the 3 issues I did report to them,
I’m just an old dude trying to play some good games on arcade because any of the Xbox games, well, these 13 year olds kill me before I even see them lol. Frogger more my speed, although I miss the original arcade game.. All of us just want is the bery expensive homepods to play arcade games with great sound as the HomePods have.
Apple should neber have released this like this and I sure hope when the HomePods get their update, it corrects it.

I did no good. I too thought if the new os for HomePods. One thing I did notice on the 4ktv they fixed where it would sometimes change from airplay homepods back to hdmi. It hasn’t happened since tvOS patch and now you can also have them selected together.
I’ve not even gone on my Apple TV yet to see what it’s like. That sounds promising. Usually Netflix cuts out on the HomePod and it would be nice if the tv sound took over. By the time I fiddle around selecting ATV audio I’ve missed parts and need to go back.
I went in for a few minutes to catch the underwater screensavers.
I have the same issue with my Sonos Beam and also with my airpods.
Sound won’t play from Apple Arcade to my homepods.
