I was in US on vaccation and i have bougth three Iphone X pro for my family. I bought it from one of the Best buys in Boston. I have intentionally asked the sales agent the i want UNLOCKED phones. When i get back to my country and try to use it, it keeps saying "Sim not valid" with long message. All of them have the same issue.
wha was i supposed to do?

Best Buy does not sell unlocked phones. They lock to the first SIM card installed to activate them. You will need to contact the carrier they are locked to and find out if you can get them unlocked.

Return it to the store you bought it from.
It is not unlocked.

They gave me a brand new phone, i guss, but atleast it was well packed and doesn't seem sim was inserted previously.
They have support but I don't know if they will be able to work around that problem but good luck to you.
I believe it is set to lock to the firs US SIM that is used but will not work outside of the US. You will need to return all of them.
