Iphone 11 Pro Max and Carplay not working

Anyone try it after installing 13.1.3 that was released today? I’ve been stuck at work all day so I haven’t had a chance.

I installed 13.1.3 and CarPlay still doesn’t work. Very frustrating. I’ve spoken to Apple support 3x and they act like I’m the only one with the problem.

Same issue with my iPhone 11 Pro Max and two different Mercedes, 2015 and 2018. Works fine with a non-Mercedes.

same thing with my  2019 Chevy Malibu. Took car to dealer. They ran checks no problem. Also hooked Up a iPhone 6. It works fine.

iOS 13.1.3 fixed it on my pro max

I returned mine, my wife kept hers since her car doesn't have CarPlay and I tested it with iOS update 13.1.3 and still not fixed.

Interesting—1.3.1 did NOT fix the problem for my own 11 Pro Max on Mercedes.

I just updated to 13.1.3 and it did not fix the problem. Same exact situation. Interestingly, my work phone is an iPhone 8 which I just updated and it works fine on CarPlay

Turns out I was wrong. Worked 5 out of 5 this morning and now not working at all!

I suggest trying 13.2. It’s completely fixed the issue for me.

I was on Beta 2 and it worked 100%, but beta 3 appears to have reintroduced the problem.

Perhaps Beta 3 still works. So far, it has worked 4/5 times.

I finally got around to trying this after my usb c to usb a male adaptor finally arrived. Works so far! 2015 Mercedes CLS with iPhone 11 Pro Max on iOS 13.1.3

How do you plug the USB C cable into the car if the port requires USB A?

Craig, buy a usb c female to usb a male adaptor. Get 2 for 8.99 at Amazon. Connect that to your iPhone 11 pro Max cable and plug the adapted cable into your car. Worked for me. Good luck.
