Iphone 11 Pro Max and Carplay not working

I have the new iPhone 11 Pro Max and a 2018 Nissan Maxima with carplay. Carplay worked with my previous Iphone X even after the IOS 13 upgrade but with the Iphone 11 Pro Max carplay just keeps saying it won't start and retries again. Any ideas?

Also having the same issue on my 2016 Yukon Denali. I've had 2 phone conferences with Apple Engineers and they installed some diagnostic software to see what is going on. They said a reply can take 24 hours to 4 days. Will update.

Great!

for the past few days I have been telling people at this thread to buy a new lighting cable directly from Apple Store (do not buy from third-party because the lightning cable might be in stock for a long time but Apple Store has been keep their stock in a very low turn time, which means the lightning cable from Apple store must be the latest/newly manufactured)

This has been proven my theory that is the newer cable might has the different chip set Inside.

I found this on Tuesday when I use a new USB A to lighting cable from a new AirPods 2 box。

It sucks that Apple either doesn't have a clue, or doesn't care that they released an untested, unproven product in the market.

I can only get iPhone 11 IOS 13.2.2 to work as expected when fully charged.. Not 95%, not 98%, nor 99%, but 100% charged.

So, does that make it a bandwidth issue as has been suggested, or a cable related electronics issue?

I suspect Apple may already know that they may have to replace all the iPhone 11 cables which have been distributed to date..

BMW/MINI (and some other car manufacturers) use wireless to connect with CarPlay - they have no wired option. The iPhone X (and most iPhone models) works fine running the latest version of iOS and in car media software. The iPhone 11 Pro and other 11 models do not - they have frequent but apparently random sound cut-outs affecting streaming and downloaded music and audiobooks. There is no work-around that works and to date none of the software updates have even tried to address the wireless compatibility issue.

For an Apple phone at this price to be incompatible with CarPlay is unacceptable.

I am also having issues connecting my iPhone 11 Pro Max to my Carplay. I have done network resets, settings reset and even a factory reset on both the cars radio and the phone. Also i have change to the origianal cable that comes with my iPhone 11 Pro and bought an adapter that connects from USB-C to USB and nothing works. Whenever I connect my wifes iPhone 8 plus to it, it works immediately multiple times. My phone is also updated to the last version of iOS. Is it a bad batch of phones? Bough mine in October. Please help!

I noticed the other day that my watch is hooking up Bluetooth to my phone when I’ve got my phone plugged into my car instead of phone connecting to Bluetooth on my car. I can’t figure out how to disconnect watch Bluetooth to see if CarPlay works better when I select the car Bluetooth. I need to search how to turn off watch Bluetooth. I wonder if this will help my phone connection to the car???

I found a fix. I have a 2018 Nissan Altima SR special edition and it didn’t work when I tried with my iPhone pro max but when my wife put her iPhone XR in it worked flawlessly. So after a lot of trial and error. If you disable Siri and reconnect it works 80 percent of the time. It’ll work, just keep trying. This is obviously a software/hardware combo issue with the iPhone 11 Pro. Nothing to do with Nissan.
