iOS 13 text messages marked read

I am also having this issue in my 2017 Rogue Sport. Apple you can see here that many people are having this issue. Can you please respond with something? My messages that are unread before connecting to my cars Bluetooth are being marked as read. This is ridiculous! None of this happened until ios13

I have been having this issue as well since the update. I drive a Subaru but they have a lot of similar manufacturing parts as Nissan. I tried unpairing the device and failed, but I will try turning the phone off after unpairing and see if that changes anything.

I’m having this issue with my 2014 Nissan Rogue. I donno what it is about Nissan stereos but this isn’t the first digital tech issue. Any podcast fans try to listen to the podcast 99% Invisible? If you do, it will freeze your stereo and gps and force it to restart ever 30 seconds or so. 99%Invisible even did a show about it, and discovered that if the radio sees “%I” together, it freaks out and freezes. They ended up creating a duplicate podcast with a lowercase i just for their listeners with Nissans Infinity’s and Mazda’s. At least some companies out there care. If you’re interested, look up 99% invisible in your podcast directory or online. The episode was called “Roman Mars Mazda Virus”.

My messages have always stayed unread in the car until iOS 13 :( Anything else that you can think of by chance?

I have a Ford vehicle and I have also had this issue since iOS 13. Ive paired and unpaired several times but I can’t say I’ve restarted my phone after unpairing so I’ll try that I guess.

I tried your idea Damusic1. No go working for me. I feel like I’ve tried everything and spent way too much time with Apple and Nissan on this.

Did the newest update just hoping. No go. 13.2.2 didn’t solve it either.

It didn’t help for my Ford Escape either. :(

I don’t seem to have that setting for my Ford Escape. I’m glad you found a work around!
