How long did available balance take to update

How long does Apple Credit Card take to update balance after payment from checking account. The payment posted on Tuesday and it is Friday and my Available balance is still not reflecting the payment.

I do not recommend anyone get this card! After being on the phone with reps for over half an hr and being transferred to multiple departments I received an answer that it takes 7-10 days to reflect a payment into your account. The payment was immediately deducted from my account but would take 7-10 days to reflect on my Apple Card balance. Worse credit card and card service I have ever experienced. The only way for a payment to immediately reflect on your available balance is to put money on your Apple Cash then pay off your Apple Card with the funds from your Apple Cash. The most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced with a credit card; I already closed the account after a month, not dealing with that!

Any of you who posted in October or November have an update on how long it actually ended up taking to update???

im in the same boat as everyone. Paid my entire balance on wed, 11/27 and it Immediately showed as “pending”. 10 hours later it changed from “pending” to “completed” and when I log into my arvest bank checking account, I can see the funds have been removed. My available credit though hadn’t changed. This is my first payment since getting the card at the beginning of the month. My first bill wasn’t going to be due til Dec 31st but if I paid early there would be no interest so I went ahead and paid it in full. When my available credit didn’t update right away, I assumed it was maybe because this was my first payment so maybe there was going to be like a 24 hour delay or something. 2 days later, Friday 11/29 there’s no update still so I contact customer support and get told the same thing as everyone above. “They have received payment but it can take several days to reflect in my balance”.

I literally responded saying “okay... well what is several days to you guys? Like 4-5 days or 15-18 days? I consider both “several” days but there’s a huge difference”

the customer support rep tells me he can’t really answer that. That they are working on processing and updating all payments as quickly as possible but the time it takes could be affected by many things, like how many other payments they are having to update”

he went on to explain the Apple Card option to have the payment update immediately for future reference. Which I wish I had known before I ever made a payment because I would have done it that way (even though I thinks it’s kinda ridiculous that I have to transfer to one card just to pay another if I want it done immediately)

anyways, it’s now Tuesday, December 3rd and my available credit is still not updated. When I check my Arvest bank checking account, the payment I made is still there and it has moved from “pending” to “completed” also. When I called arvest, they said the money was successfully sent and completed on Saturday Nov 30th at 2am central time. I know weekends are “non business days” for some banks so I was really hoping by Monday it would be updated but alas it’s not.

i have read everyone else’s comments about the “several days” actually means “10 days” so I’m curious to all who posted on here weeks ago, did it end up taking 10 days? Was it 10 days total or 10 business days? Or was it longer or shorter then 10 days? Any update would be great!

as I said, I’ve only had the card for a month and this was my first payment. I’m wondering if future payments will go quicker since I will have become more established with GS bank or if I should expect this wait everytime unless I use the Apple Cash card option

just for reference, because some above wondered if your total credit limit played into the wait time at all, I also only have a $250 credit limit. I had spent a total of $248.88 on the card and paid the full amount off in one payment

I’m 7 days out from seeing my account credited. I went through the same dead-end customer service loop everyone else did with Goldman Sachs. I finally tried back channeling my problem through an Apple sales customer service route only to have my very first abysmal Apple customer support experience in nearly three decades of being an Apple customer.

The thing is, for most people, getting the Apple Card was inspired by the promise of Apple doing what Apple does best: Disrupting a legacy industry by fundamentally changing everything about the user experience. It’s why Apple’s different and it’s why we signed up for the card.

Having an Apple branded credit card means we depend on Apple to fulfill user experience, not Goldman Sachs. In fact, GS should be entirely invisible to the Apple Card experience. But in reality we all have signed up for a Goldman Sachs card that has an Apple themed design.

I did, they told me it could take 10+ days to reflect after payment has been made and told me to add cash to my Apple cash card and submit payment using the Apple Cash card, what a bunch of bs, also my bank debit card isn’t supported for Apple Cash so I can’t use that option, closing account, waste of hard inquiry, I don’t recommend this card at all

I believe this is on Goldman Sachs. My available balance used to update immediately after payment but lately has been taking MUCH longer. The problem with this is I now depend on my Apple Card as my primary means of payment but I am forced to use other means when it takes several business days to update available credit AFTER already receiving my payment.

I found a way which is way better, just put the diside balance that you want to transfer to the card on Apple Cash( the one which is debit) and the posit it there, then you go to the Apple Card to make payment>put the desire amount you want to pay and then it is going to ask you from where do you want to take the money and put it that You want to make it from the balance on Apple cash

Definitely frustrating and it is hard to believe that Apple, a top tier innovative tech company would partner with GS which apparently uses Stone Age technology to process credit card payments. My last several payments of 10k or more are taking 10 days to post. It’s very confusing because the credit card balance reflects the payment but the available credit does not. To make matters worse if you look at the payment transactions, they are listed as completed the same day the payments were made. You can’t download your transaction history to sort things out and it is tough to do just looking at your phone. GS gave me the same runaround saying it would take several days to process and suggested it was my bank. Bank shows money left my account within a day so GS is just sitting on my money. Why? Are they using it for something else? I set up all my autopays on this card and now I’m getting non payment notices even though GS is sitting on 20k of my money. Come on Apple, there seems to be enough of us here that it would motivate you to take action. If not, maybe a class action suit would motivate you. Frustrated Apple Card user!

I’m in the same exact predicament. Last month (NOV) it took a total of 5 business days.

What nobody can explain GS or Apple is why, with all the latest technology can I buy something in China and it’s immediately deducted from my bank in Alabama, but a payment takes a week to post at Goldman Sachs. There is only one simple logical reason, profit. Apple and GS are making tons of cash holding each deposit for “several days”. I call Bull$hit and demand congressional action to this poor banking practice. You’d think the billionaire class would tire of pounding middle class into the ground. Apparently it’s a sport they’re addicted to.
