How to stream airplay2 audio to homepod directly from airplay installed LG OLED (w/o atv4)?
Using Airplay2 2019 LG OLED (WebOS firmware 3.60.19) how do I stream audio to homepod on same network? The homepod works fine with the attached ATV4 and when the ATV4 is used with the LG via HDMI port 1, audio streams to homepod from the ATV4 in synch with the LG's video. But when I use an app within the LG's echosystem, for instance Netflix, the only audio out I can find is the LG's default built in speaker - no option to locate and designate the Airplay2 homepod. Yes, I've looked at the audio-out selections within the LG's settings - nothing shows up related to Airplay2 or homepod. Bottom line: homepod works as usual when streaming from the ATV4, but after setting up Airplay2 on the LG, any native WebOS TV app still sends audio to the LG's built-in speakers.
